I'm sad to say that the beautiful city of Santa Monica, including the once beautiful beaches, has gone the way of other cities in Cali. The sidewalks are crowded with homeless, and the stench of urine and feces is almost unbearable. I witnessed one man in broad daylight urinating on the sidewalk and another throw a rental scooter at a store window. I was very disappointed because I used to love visiting Santa Monica.

3 hours of sunbathing and swimming in the safe waters booked through VB Tours Boa Vista. Prized to be the third best beach in the world, golden powder sands welcome you to unwind listening to the waves gently lapping the shore. The clear waters are safe to swim in where you see shoals of all coloured species of fish. There is a small beach bar where you can sample local caught fish or local stews as well as cold drinks. A no stress area of the island

Santa Mónica beach is the cherry on the cake of Santa Mónica, city of Los Angeles. Wide, clean, family friendly, vast enough yo walk by the seaside several miles, admiring all the surrounding beauty. And, when tired, just walk back to Santa Mónica city yo take a rest at any of the good coffee shops downtown has.

One of the best beaches in the world with a great cafe serving drinks & food.
Just hope the big chain hotels building and buying up land don't spoil it. As it is untouched not spoilt at the moment. But looks like hotel chains are coming.

Ideal beach for swimming, relaxing, spending time in the sun...But it is difficult to get there without a guided tour or a really good car. The roads are not paved and full of stones, so be careful. Now a new hotel is built right at the beach and the construction site is not attractive.

We went to the beach on a cool morning and so only a few people were on the beach at that time. The beach is very wide. We saw several sellers with little wagons with beach toys, towels, beach mats, etc for sale. (So if you forget or didn't pack any of these items - you may be able to get them from one of the beach sellers.) There are also restrooms on the beach and a walkway and some benches.

This beach was spotless and really pristine, the views were amazing. It was totally breathtaking. The weather and views were just pure bliss. I highly recommend a visit to Cape Verde. It's pure paradise. The waves can be a bit too much however the views are well worth it.

Santa Monica Beach pretty much has everything from the long pier to the nice sand and water to the 3rd Street Promenade. A great day in great weather.

I love walking along the water edge, but I usually don't swim in the ocean. Most people go in, and it's gets crowded. Make sure to get there early. Parking can be difficult.

It's a great beach for families, different parking lots, those closer to the pier are more crowded, if you travel further north towards Malibu the beach is less crowded. Perry's Cafes are located off the bike path south and north of the bike path.

Cleanest restrooms at the pier and north of it. Great cafes for adults and activities including playgrounds for children.

Bike rentals and concierge service, call Perrys Cafe, and if you need a handicap beach wheelchair, it's available through Perrys Cafe, at least the one north of Wilshire & PCH.

Honestly I grew up on a beach 🏖 in Rio de Haneiro Brazil and always lived on or near beaches since then and traveled to the gorgeous Csrribean over 28 times and really this stinky beach needs to get off the list. I lived for years in Santa Barbara and Santa monica beach is I’m sorry just not up to par.
Yes there is a pier and lots of people but it is dirty crowded plain cold and quite frankly mundane. It just happens to be very he beach for millions of people. If you are traveling don’t bother go enjoy one if these other stunning places !!!
