I have been planning a family trip to Hunza Pakistan with the help of Apricot Tour's. I made a customised tour package which they were really helpful and understanding with. Me and my family are looking forward to going to visit Hunza soon as the covid restrictions are lifted. Thankyou for all your help and patience Apricot Tour's.

K2 Gondogoro La trek has been touted as one of the “10 best treks in the world”. I trekked through Karakoram in early August 2019 and took the services of Apricot Tours to make an impossible dream to see K2 possible. I never heard of Apricot Tours before signing up for this trip, but I am glad of my decision to pick Apricot over other companies. Apricot was easy to communicate with. They also made me feel secure and safe. I totally felt at ease right from the moment when Wajahat picked me up from Islamabad airport. Wajahat, Salar and Sheraz left no opportunity to display the wonderful hospitality that Pakistan is so known for. Apricot took us around the best restaurants in Islamabad, Skardu and in Shigar. They also provided the best gear in terms of tents and sleeping pads. I wasn’t expecting to be fed with Parathas and fresh Rotis on a “glacier” but was blown away by the service of our Chef Faiz and his team. The trek was physically challenging but the rewards were amazing! I still cannot believe that I saw Bakhordas, Paiju Peak, Trango Towers, Cathedral Peaks along with the giants like K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum IV, Chogolisa. It’s hard to cover such famous peaks in one trek and maybe that’s the reason why this trek is so out-of-this-world. I enjoy birdwatching and was really delighted to see few birds like Cuckoo, Rosy Starlings, Choughs, Magpie, Pied Bushchat, Hoopoe at such high elevations. I honestly cannot wait to sign up for another trip with Apricot.

Right from the start Apricot staff went out of their way to make our trip memorable. Our time in Islamabad and Skardu was full with trips to local sights and the accommodation and meals were outstanding. We had a great time getting to know our fellow trekkers. Our trip was late August 2019. The drive to Askole (the village at the trail-head) is along the most amazing road you will ever travel. The trek beside the Braldu River and on the Baltoro glacier takes you past spectacular mountains - Paiju, the Trango Tower Group, Uli Biaho to name a few. The views from Concordia of K2, the Gasherbrum group and Broad Peak are unbelievable. The trek itself consists of long but not overly strenuous days. Apricot staff have your tent set-up and tea waiting for you. Take a generous tip on the trek. To make a living, the guides, cooks and especially the porters, have incredibly tough jobs.  Your duffle bag, the one carried by the porters, is weighed at the start of the trek to ensure it isn't over-weight. I suggest weighing it at home to avoid the hassle of removing items at the last minute. One more bit of advice - the trip list includes some mountaineering gear that you can purchase from shops in Skardu; however, the selection may be limited. Consider bringing your own. I came away from this trip with my North American biases totally altered. Pakistan is amazing, the people are incredibly hospitable and the K2 Gondogoro La trip is fantastic. Apricot Tours did a great job!
