This is a significant viewpoint when travelling on the Karakoram Highway. It is located a short distance from the town of Jaglot.
As other reviews have already pointed out, its significance comes from it being the place where the three mightiest mountain ranges in the world meet (Karakoram, having K2 as part of it, The Himalayas, having Everest and Nanga Parbat within the range and Hindukusch having the Pakistan mountain of Tirich Mir within its range)
It is at this point that the two great rivers, The Indus and The Gilgit also meet.
There is a purpose built viewpoint and when I was there a guide eager to provide you with further information. He was very informative and clearly knew this area very well.
For me being here felt like a humbling moment. These mountain ranges and rivers are magnificent and travel through so many different countries. To be in the location where they meet, I felt privileged.
There are plenty of opportunities and look outs for photographs. There’s a small shop/cafe and toilet facilities. There are also places to enjoy a picnic. It’s a wonderful choice of pit-stop on your road trip.

Jaglot is a town in Gilgit District, Pakistan, and is situated 45 km south east of Gilgit on the Karakoram Highway. Jaglot has the significance that it is located at the junction of three mightiest mountain ranges, the Himalaya, Karakorum and Hindukush. 2400 km long Himalaya Range stretches into Pakistan, China, India, Nepal and Bhutan. 500 km long Karakuram Range is shared between Pakistan and China, while Hindukush Range is spread across western Pakistan and Afghanistan. Gaglot is also the junction where the Gilgit River and Indus rivers merge and ways of Gilgit and Skardu splits in different directions.

Location where the 3 mountain ranges meet along with the joining of 2 rivers (Indus and Gilgit). Information Signboards are located for more information. A raised lookout is also provided.

Many people pass through this point without even noticing and realizing the importance that it has from geological point of view. It is the confluence of the three highest mountain ranges in the world. The Himalayas and the Karakoram share all the 14 Eight Thousanders in the world and Hindukush has few peaks quite close to 8000 m.
For most part, Indus river acts as the dividing line between Karakoram and Himalayan Range. On E or SE of Indus River is the Himalayan Range on NE / N is the Karakoram Range.
Though a much smaller range in circumference, Karakoram enjoys higher average height than the other two ranges.
While standing at this point, though one doesn't get a glimpse of the high peaks (except Nanga Parbat), it is an awesome feeling, nevertheless.
