This location offers two options. In the national park you can visit excavated caves that show daily life in the area in between around 300 BCE and 100 CE. There is also an active archeological dig that invites visitors (for an extra fee) to participate in cave excavation. The highlight of that activity is the front- and back-side crawl through... The best part of going to this park is participating in the archeological seminar dig. We dug up real artifacts from over 2200 years ago. Our tour guide was great and took us to all the interesting sites within the park. I don't think we would have found all the sites and enjoyed it as much if we had done... More

Great visit rain or shine. This underground caves are cool in the summer and dry/warm in the winter. They are man made and hold so many interesting artifacts. Can be combined with a Dig for the Day, making for an entire days visit to this National Park.

Each participant enters a well lit large underground cave that has been man made over 2300 years ago. An explanation of what archaeology is all about and what an archaeologist does, is given at the onset of the activity. Everyone receives a pick and trowel to dig into the soil to find things buried in the ground for thousands of... More

Very nice park. Interesting visit of archeological remains. It is a good pace for a family visit and a great picnic.

My family had an AWESOME experience this July with Dig for a Day! Several friends recommended us to book tickets and I am so glad that we did. It was the perfect adventure for our children ages 10-16. You will get dirty. That is part of the fun. We enjoyed the experience of participating in the archaeological dig, learning history... More

We made a reservation many weeks in advance, by email, figuring this was the type of experience our 12 and 14 year old boys would love, and we were right. Our guide Eitan picked us up at a gas station near the park entrance and brought the group first to the dig site. We could have stayed there much longer... More

We did Dig For A Day through Archeological Seminars: http://www.archesem.com/dig.asp. We went with our 8 year old son. Everyone in the group found many items of pottery. Some also found bones and shells. Great time had by all. Expect to get dirty! Lena was an awesome guide - very enthusiastic and fun, as well as extremely knowledgeable. After dig, explored... More
