What a wonderful walk around the bay from Saundersfoot to Wise man's Bridge, especially in the evening. The reward is to enjoy a drink or meal at Wise man's Bridge Hotel, waring the sun go down

Great base, but not much there
Apr 2021
Lovely pebbled beach for sitting on and for those with children who enjoy exploring. Of particular note is the lava flow which can be viewed when the tide is from the pathway to Saundersfoot before entering the first of the tunnels. The free parking is also very useful, as the beach can be used as a base for numerous walks including the walk/cycleway to Saundersfoot via Coppet Beach(which houses the fabulous Beach restaurant) using the old mining tunnels (torches recommended)- roughly 1.5 miles. This walk can also be done via the beach when the tide is particularly low. Also nearby but best visited in Spring/Summer is Colby Gardens - a National Trust property, although the tea rooms can be used without paying an entrance fee.
For those more energetic is the Stepaside walk through the woods - a journey of around 1.5 miles.

Lovely walk but not much there
Sep 2021 • Family
Nice walk granted. But if you’re going with the sole purpose of finding an interesting bridge then I think you’ll be disappointed. Nothing really there and we were wanting about scratching our heads for a few minutes thinking we must have missed something. When we did find it we wouldn’t think twice about it being a feature if it didn’t have a name.

Walk from Wiseman’s Bridge to Saundersfoot
Sep 2021 • Couples
Free parking at Wiseman’s Bridge, then take the interesting back of beach walk to Saundersfoot. The track is a dual purpose foot path and cycle way, it is well signed and has a good tarmac path. The path will take you thro a few tunnels, one lit, one very dark and a short one. Great fun and many kids had torches and making eerie noises. Walk each way is about 1.5 miles and passes the impressive looking ‘Coast’ restaurant (which was closed the day we were there) also had a smashing coffee from the Kiosk (horse box).
Pay and display parking at Coppet Hall and Saundersfoot.
Recommended activity.

Great beach for rock pools
Aug 2021 • Family
Great beach for kids who love to hunt for a crab and wave a net in the rock pools. When the tide it out the beach and the pools stretch for miles!
You can park easily for free if you arrive early and there’s a little shop for an ice cream by the caravan park. You can walk from here through the old train tunnels to saundersfoot which is a nice stroll too.
Definitely one to visit with kids!

Not much there
Jul 2021 • Family
We parked near Saundersfoot and walked the the little tunnels to Wisemans Bridge. There not much here other than traffic and a pub or two. The beach is full of rock pools tho which were great to clamber over for half an hour before we headed back to Saundersfoot. Worth a quick look.

Not so much a bridge. A little deceiving. Best part is the free parking.

So the place we were staying recommended this beach. Although pebbly it is a pleasant walk... for 10 minutes. The parking is free!! You can walk right round to Saunders foot which is a good walk.

The wisemans Bridge (if that's what you want to call it) is pathetic and definitely not as pictured. See photo.

The pub is nice with good food but in these covid times I would advise booking!!

OK I suppose

Not a beach that I would rush back to. A mix of sand and pebbles. It was clean, but very busy. Parking was also a problem.
