The November evening was wonderful! From our greeting and directions at the gate, through our departure with animal crackers thank-you, we enjoyed it all. The lovely wedding ceremony was held in the dolphin underwater viewing area, then a courteous bus driver drove us through the beautiful "holiday lights" to our cocktail/appetizer stop in an African habitat where we saw giraffe!... The highlight of the zoo is polar bear, also some Aussie animals. There's quite a lot of restaurants and food stalls, medium price. Easy location, it can reach by bus just stop at the entrance. The zoo is not busy especially in winter, it is good as you don't want to queue to visit every animal. There are some retired... More

We buy a Family Membership and it's a bargain with all our grown kids and grandkids visiting the zoo with us. We always look forward to the dolphin show and have never been disappointed. We live close (a 35-40 min. drive), so a couple yearly visits offsets the membership cost and then some. Some of our favorite attractions include the... More

I've visited zoos all around the country so was excited to visit the Broomfield zoo again, having not been here for more than 10 years. We took the metra train from downtown Chicago out to the Hollywood stop. From there it was an easy 10 minute walk to the south gate. The first thing you notice is the price. It... More

In Chicago, Lincoln Park Zoo probably gets more publicity and celebrity because of its location, on the lakefront and close to downtown Chicago, television exposure and the longtime presence of director Marlin Perkins, But Brookfield Zoo, located in the western suburb of Brookfield, is bigger and better and prettier. Brookfield, established in 1934, houses about 450 species of animals in... More

The Brookfield Zoo is one of the top zoos in the country. We especially loved the Primate House. The zoo grounds are well kept making the experience even more enjoyable. All of the animals were healthy and happy. Great for everyone.

I used to visit Brookfield Zoo when I was little and recently took my husband and kids. First, parking is pretty expensive. $10 per car and we had two cars. So there's $20. Then admission for 6 was nearly $100. Yikes. The zoo itself is great, attractions are close together, so even though there is a lot of walking it... More

Our family just loves Brookfield Zoo! My 8 year old daughter is a huge animal lover. If you live in the Chicagoland Area, I recommend you take advantage of the zoo membership. The one we do is $100 and it covers our first two visits. We always use our guest passes and take at least one trip to the Zoo... More

After visiting Brookfield zoo for the past 40 years, then visiting other throughout the U.S., the is definitely the best! Washington DC and San Diego are old and crumbly compared to Brookfield. It has unique features including the dolphin show...similar to sea world! Yes, ther is LOtS of walking, but it's a zoo! And it's large! Wear comfortable shoes...or buy... More
