Airplane fanatics and air museum newbies will enjoy their collection. This is a volunteer operated museum on the main airport property and it's great for weekend visit to Bloomington. Kids will love it and the docents are friendly and knowledgable. If you love planes you should stop in.

Not sure I expected much but the stories behind the planes were shared which made the visit very special. Stop by and support their efforts.

You are able to look inside of the airplanes on display. People are there to answer questions you have.

If you love flying and planes and memorabilia, you will love this little place. Stop in and chat with the friendly volunteers that staff the counters and keep things in order.

Experience the history of aviation and see combat aircraft up close. See these combat worriers that have contributed to our freedom.

The Prairie Aviation Museum was a wonderful day for our family. We visited on open cockpit day and the volunteers working that day made the experience incredible. The knowledge they shared about the planes at the museum and countless other planes was astounding. They took as much time as you wanted to continue to teach your more. My husband asked... More

I assign this poor grade not because our experience in seeing the museum was unsatisfactory, but because we weren't able to see it at all (except from the outside) owing to their peculiarly limited hours of operation. Our visit to the Twin Cities was time-constrained and allowed us to see this museum only on a Wednesday morning, which seemed easy... More

The receptionist was pretty humble and welcoming. I have seen kids making jet planes with recycled soda cans and they were amazing. Pretty good startup for kids to improve their knowledge and...
