I am very lucky to have travelled to Iceland in July of 2017 with my mum, sister and best friend. We are rather well travelled people and have visited many beautiful places in the world. .....and then came Oli, huni and Iceland. The adventure, the conversation, the excitement was simply spectacular. We were with Oli for 10 days and I don’t know how he did it but every single day got better, with a bigger adventure, more beautiful scenery and better accomodation. He followed all our interests, dietary requirements and budget to a ‘t’. I simply could not recommend staying as far away from huge tourist buses as possible and booking a trip with Oli. It felt like we were touring Iceland alone and for 10 days the world had stopped travelling. Every time I get asked where my favourite trip ever was. It’s now a no brainer thanks to Oli. Sending all our love to Huni. From the Gaby, Jodie, Taryn & Julie who 3 years later still can’t stop talking everything Iceland.

We have just returned from a 5 day self drive tour with Oli,his wife and Hunni their impeccably behaved 13 week old border collie. Oli is a sociable, patient attentive tour guide, his deep Icelandic roots and love of his country provide an everflowing fountain of knowledge of it's people, history, geography and nature. Meeting his farming friends in the wilderness and receiving their warmth and hospitality was a real privilege and gave us a greater understanding of their lives. Oli will tailor the trip to your preferences, keep away from tourist hotspots and alter plans according to the weather. Driving a 4x4 up and down mountains through rivers, and expansive glacial valleys with a WOW at every bend was amazing. The contrasting landscape of Icelands remote interior from bubbling mud pools, majestic cascading waterfalls to the lunar appearance of lichen clad larvae as far as the eye could see was awsome. Watching icebergs slipping from a glacial lagoon to the sea then driving to a deserted black beach only accessible by 4x4 to witness puffins and a seal was equally spectacular. Casting thermal jackets and woolly hats to bathe in hot springs and warm rivers are memories that won't be forgotten. Oli shares lots of stories along the way which enrich the trip and make you laugh. We returned home yesterday and are just absorbing our WOW photos. We both loved it and hope to return for another Oli trip one day !!

For a high school graduation present my daughter, Mary Kate chose Iceland for us to visit. We spent 10 days with Oli and Heni. He had an amazing trip planned for us that covered everything we could possibly want to see in Iceland. My daughter was very keen on birds and Oli took us all over Iceland to bird watch. She mentioned more than once that this was a "trip of a lifetime for her". We so enjoyed meeting Oli's friends and having tea with them. We loved going on the Glacier Lagoon tour with his daughter and off- roading to find more puffins on the cliffs. I can't say enough how well he took care of us. For anyone wanting a true Icelandic experience Oli is the way to go!

My wife and I just returned from a fantastic six day tour of Iceland with Oli. What a perfect trip it was!!! Oli is an incredible guide for many reasons: He is always interesting and is very personable. He is dependable, trustworthy, and a very safe driver He is extremely knowledgeable Oli knows so many places and has so many contacts. He individualized our tour and catered to our every need and desire We were particularly interested in hiking and horseback riding. He found us remote trails that were both challenging and beautiful. He found us places to ride Icelandic horses with guides that allowed us to ride up to our ability He is always flexible and can adjust your itinerary depending on weather conditions Oli is a great value and worth every penny. You will do things that you could never do on your own!!! Oli is truly an expert and helps you have a real adventure that you will never forget. We are so happy that we found Oli and we hope to return to Iceland for future adventures. We could not recommend Oli more highly

We spent seven days with the amazing Oli exploring parts of Iceland that are not smothered in tourists. If you want to avoid the madding crowd - and we gather that around 25% of the population at any one time is tourists - then take a trip with Oli. He knows everyone in Iceland, and more literally knows everywhere in Iceland. He is remarkably patient (especially with our struggles to learn at least how to read the language), good humoured and extraordinarily knowledgeable of the local history and geography. He tailors his tours to suit the activity levels and interests of his customers so give him a good briefing when you book on the sort of thing you want to do and what sort of people you are. He managed to set an itinerary that catered admirably to the energy of our youngsters and to our own rather more sedate style. But make no mistake - this is an adventure holiday. And a great experience. We did lots of stuff that we had never done before, bathing in hot water creeks, swimming in warm spring caverns, tramping round bubbling mud pools as well as (of course) visiting majestic waterfalls, striding out on wonderful walks, and marvelling at astonishing landscapes - glaciers, volcanoes, archaeological sites, hot springs, extraordinary rocks... Oli's attention to the preparation of the itinerary meant that all accommodation was smoothly arranged - we just slotted in as though we were meant to belong there. At first glance, the expedition looked quite expensive, but when you discover how expensive everything is in Iceland, you realise that doing it with Oli is really excellent value. We had a ball - lots of fun, lots of "Wow!" and lots of learning.
