We have been to the Shrine many times but twice this year. Once for a charity walk and the other time for a retreat mass. The grounds and facilities were clean and well kept both times. Staff was helpful and available. We didn't use the shop or restaurant on these occasions but have had good luck there in the past.

Hubby and I went here for the drive thru lights at Christmas time - traffic wasn't that bad, they do need some better signs to tell people that you aren't supposed to have the car lights on while you go through, and it was surprising that they stop the cars at the end to get donations. They had camel rides,... More

Great place to eat. Very nice restaurant on grounds. They have daily specials and a lunch soup and salad deal. Like 6-8 different soups and a good size salad bar All you can eat. Sunday brunch is nice but closed too early for me due to our church gets out later. Nice menu.

This group has been hosting this event at The Shrine for 12 years. It has always been a wonderfully pleasant and enjoyable experience. Today is our first day here for the 2016 event and the new facility manager, Paulo, has been beyond rude to the entire group. I would never come back here just based on his attitude today and... We (a group of 65) have been coming to the shrine for 12 years for an annual weekend of scrapbooking! It is an weekend of fun that we all look forward to with anticipation! Prior to this year the management has been friendly, accommodating and willing to work with our group. This year's experience has not been a positive one... More

If you are in the area this is a must see. The Way of Lights is an awesome display. It is well organized and can be completed from your vehicle or you can enjoy a camel or carriage ride. There is no fee but donations are appropriate and appreciated.

If you are in the St. Louis area during the month of December then you need to see The Way of Lights. The driving light tour is always nice and the kids love it. The lights tell the story of Jesus birth. It takes about 20 minutes to drive the route. They ask for a donation at the end.
