Many Provincial parks have something to offer visitors to do like hiking and swimming but also have a small bit of a hook where you can rent canoes or paddle boats. Maybe take in a show like a lift lock or even a lookout point,...More

Brought our grandkids to the park for their first camping adventure. Lots of fun! The water on Lake Ontario however was a bit rough for them but no fault to the park. Very well kept park, well maintained and clean. The camping sites are very...More

Nice park however only inconvenience was the train which honked extremely loudly every 15-30 minutes even at nighttime, all night, I would finally get to sleep then woken up again by the train. You also hear the busy 401 traffic so doesn’t seem like your...More

The garbage was overfilled and that's all we could smell the whole weekend! Site was semi private, Prob some of the most rude campers I've ever met. My suggestion is to travel more north and hit the good parks...

We used this park for breaking in our tent trailer, since it is very close to our home. The park is fine, but there is not a lot to do if the weather is unco-operative. We went and it was cold and raining, in the...More

The campground is very close to oshawa - which is a 10 minute drive. The campsites are well kept and the campground facilities are decent - its a nice campground for a family/friends weekend trip close to the city.

Hilltop is best for shade & privacy and the sites in the 240 -250 sites are big. Just go on website click on campground map & most sites have pictures.

Driving the Trans Labrador Highway and Beyond (Pt 1 of 3) (7 Replies)
The plan was to drive from Denver, CO to Labrador City, drive the Trans Labrador Highway, ferry to Newfound, explore the northern and western coasts, ferry to North Sydney, drive the Cabot trail, circumnavigate Nova Scotia and then return to Denver. Disclaimer: I do a lot of trip reports and someone always seems to take issue with something...More
