This is the first villa by Palladio and a beautiful one. Though lacking the grandeur of other villas the location and the wonderful gardens compensate for this. Everything is well maintaned and the frescoes are in good condition.

If you happen to be in the area, this is a lovely villa and the views are beautiful. There is decent parking and the guided tour was informative, but the main focus is the frescoes, if this is not your interest, skip this villa.

Employing some of the features that became his hallmarks (classical elements and symmetry) in this early work, Palladio achieved an impressive result, but at least from the outside, it isn't as pleasing as his later commissions. The interior rooms, though, are mostly wonderful.
