Auger Falls isn't much of a waterfall during the early spring snow melt. It just looks like a rapid and that's it. I would go later in the spring or early summer.

Take plenty of water. Take more water. Take hats, sunglasses, hiking snacks. Worth every bit of effort. Trails shared with mountain bikers, most of whom call out their presence well in advance.

Very peaceful park along the Snake River. Great views. Good place to run, walk, bike or simply listen to the river. Lots of birds. Just a few minutes from town. Early morning or evening is the best time to avoid summer heat.

Today I discovered a fantastic mountain bike ride along the Snake River at Twin Falls Idaho. The terrain was fairly flat but very technical as the trails run through many volcanic rocks with very tight passages and super sharp turns. All together there is about...More
