We loved the falls, I'm from Texas, so this was jaw dropping. The mist from the falls, the rainbows the loud noise from the water, the surrounding landscape, the entire falls area is a must see. We brought my mom, who was in a wheelchair, we had no problems or issues. Highly recommend.

As a Buffalo, NY native, I've seen Niagara Falls more than I can count. The falls are as beautiful as billed, the Niagara of the West and prettier with even more character. Seeing it was mid-June, the water flow was plentiful. The grounds in the park are gorgeous and well kept making it a great spot for a picnic! For the $5 entry fee, it was well worth it.

We then went over to Dierke Lake for the 1.8 -hike around the lake. The scenery was spectacular. If you are going to do the hike, start to the left, with the entrance to the Lake Loop on the edge of the parking lot by the sign. That way, you will be doing more "downstairs" than "upstairs". We had a bit of confusion finding the start. Hint. There is a footbridge at the beginning. There will be little signs along the way to keep you on the Lake Loop. There is some trekking over rocks and some stairs to climb up/down. Overall, not a difficult hike. Gorgeous.

You pay 5$ for access to shashone falls and dierkes lake. Bring swimsuit, lake has perfect swimming hole for kids, picnic benches, playground , diving board, in the snake river ! The water falls are gorgeous ! Easy paved access to all the waterfall sights. Little snack bar . See where evil kanieval jumped the canyon. Drive up road a minute and your at dierkes lake . Hard pact gravel road to the right will lead you on a nice hike, to staircase that takes you up the canyon wall to the canyon ridge and has amazing views. Long for young kids about 2 mile hike but wide gravel road. Worth the stop ! Do both!

We drove our 52' rig (33' Class A plus a towed vehicle) down to the parking at Shoshone Falls Park, but I don't recommend it. It is very steep and the paved road is very narrow in spots. It is doable, but the RV parking spots are few (5 I think) and not super long.
We visit the falls in August, which I understand is not their peak flow time - as they're fed by runoff from the mountains. However, they were still flowing nicely. There are some bathrooms and a place to get a drink and possibly some food but it isn't a large vendor. If you're coming and want to spend some time here, bring some food and drinks with you. There is a nice open grassy area that would be great for a picnic. There are a few nice overlook spots but nowhere to go down to the falls to get really close.
It is a little bit of a drive to the falls if you are just passing through town. They seem to be through town, then through a residential area and little bit of the country, and then you start to head down into the gorge.

I grew up in the area and I ALWAYS bring visitors here. They are always surprised how huge and beautiful the falls are. Most people never see these types of falls in their lifetime. I do recommend that you visit spring to early summer for maximum waterfall effect. Truly stunning.

We came to Shoshone Falls on Labor Day Monday 9/7. The park was quite busy and there was a line of cars to pay and get in. Entrance is $5 per car and they do take credit card.

The best part is you can park, walk a few steps and get great views of Shoshone Falls at the overlook. The day we came to Twin Falls, it was crazy windy.

Be sure this is on your bucket list! Lovely park area to walk, with amazing falls to view from several lookout points along the walkways. Take a hike up the canyon wall and get another view. We felt the cooling mist from the falls and enjoyed the energy from the water falls and the beautiful clean Idaho air. Lots of grassy area for a picnic or just to relax.
The falls are near the city center, a steep drive down the canyon gets you to the park. Admission was only $5. There are several informative historical displays, restroom facilities and a refreshment stand.

You can’t go to Twin Falls without seeing Shoshone Falls, aka “Niagara of the West.”

There is a very cheap entrance fee to get into the park with the best viewpoints. It’s worth every penny.

Shoshone Falls is beautiful from every angle. There’s not much else to say. If you’re lucky, you may even see a rainbow in the mist.

The park itself is pretty nice and clean. Decent bathrooms and plenty of space to picnic if you want to.

Spectacular falls with beaviews up and down river. You would be hard pressed to fine a better water fall in the US. The small lake next to falls is a wonderful swimming"hole". The swim area is clean with a park and nice dock and diving board. And the best note is it is $5 a car. You can easily spend all day enjoying the area for $5. No better bargain have I ever found

The obvious comment here is "planning". You have to pay attention to when the water is flowing and when its not. You can check the website for info and there are live view cameras. Having said that, we've been here a few times over the years and this was one of the times the water was flowing. It was an awesome view. There are also trails you can hike (we did) for better overviews. The falls are co-located with Dierkes Lake which is also nice (I'll do a separate review for the lake). We visited over the Memorial Day weekend and my understanding is the water would be diverted after this weekend so it was fairly crowded. But we didn't feel overwhelmed by other visitors. The signage is a little lacking and navigating the area was a little confusing. The map doesn't really show where the trails begin. The map shows the "Evil Knievel Jump Site" (from the 70's I think) and it appears you can get to it from within the park. You cannot (at least we couldn't figure it out). We were told you could leave the park, turn left and go about a mile to the site but we couldn't find it that way either so we gave up.
