Once again I was at the Janowiec Castle. I am still surprised that you don't sell just one ticket for all attractions - I have to declare separately the places I want to enter instead.
And I'm sure it is easy to bundle all the attractions (courtyard, cloisters, museum, whatever) at a great price and just sell one ticket to cover all the entries.
After all, it simplifies my life a lot (last but not least: it increases your incomes).

This is a beautiful old castle, however due to a lack of money, the castle is in a sad state of disrepair. I hope that they receive more funds to preserve it as it is a treasure!

This castle shows the history of Poland the best. The mixture of styles, the location and the majesty of this building sound unfortunately like a foregone power. The castle is located close to the other tourist attractions. You can also go there from Kazimierz Dolny with organised tour.

The castle at Janowiec is part of the museums complex of the better known Kazimierz Dolny which is over the Wisła river. (A road train and ferry apparently link the two but I could find nothing in English to advise the timetable or cost).
The Castle typically combines the features of both a castle and a palace. Substantial parts are in permanent ruin, but reconstruction of the other areas of the Castle has combined conservation with restoration so making Janowiec Castle well worth visiting. The restored interiors house exhibitions telling the history of the Castle, of its renovation and of the development of the art of defence. A few rooms, that form the Castle Interiors Museum, have been decorated and furnished as they might have been in the past.
The large park surrounding the Castle is also home to an Open Air Architecture Museum with manor and farm buildings rebuilt here. Only the reconstructed manor house from 1760 and granary were open when we went, but both were worth the visit.
The castle included a small but intriguing art exhibition, a little souvenir shop, a cafe with some outdoor seating in the courtyard and good clean toilets.
Also in the grounds (not far from the main entrance) is another small outlet for food and drink - please spend a little money in these places as your custom may be the difference between them surviving or closing
One ticket covered (paid at the castle) covered all parts of the site, except a small additional car park fee paid on exit, and the aforementioned road train.
Worth a visit if you are in the area of Kazimierz Dolny, however, it may be a long round trip as there are no bridges over the Wisła for miles, north or south. I understand there is a local ferry that links Janowiec with Kazimierz Dolny but I have no information...

It used to be the last private castle in Poland. Very unique and interesting place. It was my 5th or 6th visit to this place. Highly recommended.

The sleepy village hosts, up on a hill, the remains of the gothic castle that is now in ruins - but what ruins! A Short stroll up the hillside reveals the open court around which the remains of the walled castle are sprawling. The remains of complex corridors, battlements, and chapels are astounding. Worth a visit also is a tiny museum containing bits and pieces salvaged from the older levels of the castle - exposing some of the grandeur of years gone by long ago. This is a MUST for castle lovers. Others may not appreciate the wonder around them - be warned.

And that's about all to say about it. You have some nice views. But the building isn't that spectacular. You can go to some other buildings in the neighbourhood as well but also they are not that special.

Beautiful castle, mostly ruins with stunning views and the gardens make for a nice little walk. We came from Kazimierz Dolny, across on the ferry which saved us a very long drive around the river.

A place must visit on your trip plans to Kazimierz and Nałeczow. A ruins of an ancient castle ( you can hire a room in there! ) with stunning views over Vistula valey. If you are lucky you might spot a lonely figure starring at you, sending shivers to your spine!
