We skied here for the first time this winter. SV has the best snow we have ever seen. Best day lodges too. The lines were minimal and the sun really is plentiful. It is probably not the best for beginners, Bald Mtn at least. They...More

It had been about eight years since I had stayed here before. The resort was just as lovely as I had remembered, if not improved with the recent remodeling of the lodge. All the staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. I can't imagine you could...More

Stayed here for a business meeting. Be careful of staying in the condos as they don't have AC. Not a big deal 90% of the time up here, but it was 90 degrees out and was hot in the condo. Other than this, the location...More

It really is an appropriately named resort. Sunny skies the whole time we were there. Beautiful scenery and challenging runs. Big skier mountain. An older crowd with lots of money. If you are younger and a boarder, maybe pick elsewhere.

The multimillion dollar renovation of the Lodge as well as the updating of the resort is evident. There have been some changes that do puzzle me. For example, the Konditorei now closes at 4 pm. I use to enjoy stopping in after dinner for a...More

went skiing with family and nephew in early February. Days were great, blue sky and sun most of the time. Snow was mostly groomed and by afternoon the sun would make it powder like. The runs were the best part. The staff and skiers are...More

I skied here with my family and we loved the mountain. We ski primarily in the Lake Tahoe region and found this mountain to have a lot of vertical to it. The runs are long and steep. There are many very good (fast) skiers here.
