I have now been to Mexico and Ecuador to mountain bike with 2Wheel Epix. Both trip surpassed my expectations! The riding in both places (though very different) was incredibly fun, challenging, and beautiful. We always eat delicious local food both on the trail and each day for dinner. And perhaps the best of all, we were surrounded by the most kind, helpful and passionate mountain bike communities in both places. 2Wheel Epix has created, not only a sustainable model, but one that the local populations are fully integrated with and that benefits their economies and communities at large. I would highly recommend any 2Wheel Epix trip, and can’t wait to go on another one!

It's hard to put into words how great this trip is. Not only did Tony and his team take us down some of the best trails I've ever ridden, but we were introduced to the amazing people of Oaxaca and their culture along the way.
The trails we rode were diverse and tailored to our groups' skill and stoke level. The long descents had a variety of line choice, jumps, drops and riding surfaces. It was dry and dusty at times, but January is typically dry there. (goggles were nice to have)
Luckily we didn't have a lot of mechanicals, but I needed a brake bleed after the first day. My bike was picked up, worked on, and delivered the next morning, lasting the the rest of the trip with no issues.
Besides all the biking, we had some very memorable side adventures too. From visiting Hierve el Agua, to tasting mezcal at an agave farm, to wrapping up the trip at the beach, I was constantly blown away on and off the bike! I could go on and on, but you'll just have to see for yourself...
Can't wait for my next 2Wheel Epix trip!

Going into this trip I had high expectations given that where I live we have world class mountain biking and I lived in Ecuador for 3 years growing up. I can without a doubt say that this trip blew my expectations out of the water. Both Tony and the guides (we had Basco for the entire trip) were communicative, personable, and professional from start to finish. Any question or concerns we had, these guys had an answer or a solution for it. Basco (our guide) is a wealth of knowledge of all things Ecuador and riding. Throughout the trip I learned so much about the country past and present. And as an added bonus he was able to coach me over some train and obstacles that I otherwise wouldn't have tried on my own.
As stated in the trip description the trails, flora, fauna, and culture that you experience on this trip are something out of National Geographic. It was definitely a catch-22 of wanting to continue to ride the epic trails or just stop and take in the surroundings. Luckily the way the trip is planned out there is plenty of time for both. Speaking of trails, if you are tired of riding overly groomed machine-made trails this is the trip for you. You will find well-maintained single track by the local trail builders but the real treat is the raw riding on exposed mountains and through varying ecosystems which can challenge all abilities.
Probably my favorite part of the trip was getting to ride and hang with the locals. This is what really changes the experience from a guided mountain bike trip to more of riding with your buddies at the local trails. Can't say enough positive things about the riders, their attitude towards the sport, their love for their country, and sharing it with visitors.
If you have the means, do this trip. You won't be disappointed.

Easily the best experience of my life. Tony and the whole 2Wheel crew had everyday and every ride planned out incredibly well. The entire trip matched the energy and capability of our group. The team constantly ensured that we were having the best time possible while staying on top of the logistics of managing a large group. The experience really felt like we were part of the biking community in Oaxaca, not just tourists on vacation. I will recommend this trip to anyone I can, not just mountain bikers. Though, the biking was some of the best riding I’ve ever done.

Traveling with 2 Wheel Epix was experiencing Mexico and international biking at its finest! The guides were local and so friendly, speaking both English and Spanish. I felt like we were always contributing to the local economy and not large corporations which was intimate and rewarding. Just an awesome place in Oaxaca. Traditional food, mezcalerias and goods. Cant recommend enough. Tony, the owner was so entertaining and made us feel welcomed, Safe and sendy!

Easiest trip planning EVER! It was as simple as booking the trip and going over what we wanted to do and Tony handled the rest. We went to Oaxaca for the bike to beach experience and I can't get over how great it was! Tony teams up with Coyote Aventuras in Oaxaca and the guides are superb there! They helped us build our bikes, shuttled us around, taught us about their culture, took us to eat at places I've always been too nervous to go to (markets with no menus, houses that share a meal with you) and they translate everything making us feel more comfortable than I could've imagined and eating the most authentic meals possible.
This trip really brings a ton of epic riding! The guides are always down to ride more trails and will let you know what's coming up (techy sections, steep sections, dusty sections to leave more room with, when jumps are coming up, and when to follow their line). They always had a high stoke level and would be down to session areas or give helpful pointers as well. I would classify my riding as intermediate (+) at times;) There were a few sections I walked my bike but the guides were always supportive and let you take as much time as you needed/wanted.
I love that this trip also gives you a culture day and a few beach days so you can see more of Oaxaca than you would from just doing a mountain bike only trip. We did Hierve el Agua, a mezcal tasting and a temazcal (sweat lodge) which was one of my favorite parts of the trip! The places we stayed at were overall good, with the beach cabana being one of the nicest places I have ever stayed!! Right on the ocean with a bar right next to us. The optimal perfect relaxation after all our riding. I am so glad I chose 2wheelepix and was so happy Tony was so responsive before and during the trip. Thanks Tony for helping out with the coolest trip ever!!!

What an all time trip! Tony and the local guides were very professional, knowledgeable and they were a blast to ride with. The trip was very well rounded with epic single track, site seeing and cultural emersion. Meeting the locals and helping support them was a very special touch that made the trip that much more intimate and memorable. Can’t recommend these guys enough!!

We went to Oaxaca with Tony and 2Wheel Epix and had an incredible bike trip. The food, riding, culture, and local guides were awesome. Our times were filled with good friends, rad descents, and laughter all around. Would not hesitate to do another trip.. just have to decide which one to do next.

If you love to mountain bike, you want to see Epic trails, and you want to experience amazing local food, these guys provide. The lead guide, Daniel, is a unique combo of Local, world traveler who resided in Europe for a time, a former nationals downhill and enduro racer for Santa Cruz, and a gastronomy expert! His knowledge provides a deep dive into Ecuadorian biking and culture that you just can’t get otherwise.
