Tackled the class 4 white water rafting trip today. Staff were very friendly right from the start. We felt confident in our guide (Andrew) as he took us down the River. He shared some history about the river, pointed out scenery, and told some good corny jokes. If you’re willing to have fun, enjoy the outdoors, and have some thrill then go on this trip! I definitely recommend going in June when water is high- bigger rapids!

This was the first time taking all our kids on an adventure. My youngest is just under 4 yrs old, so I was a little nervous, but our guide, Mia, was SO GREAT!! She made all the kids feel needed and included and she made the trip super fun while keeping everyone safe and in the boat!
We did the afternoon family raft trip and it was a perfect introduction to outdoor adventure for our kids!
For reference the kids were 11(m), 9(m), 6(f), 3(m). They are all pretty adventurous so the ‘bumps’ were fun and not scary.

This was my first paid fishing trip. I picked it because we love the area and wanted something to do with my teen daughter, who had a small interest in fishing. Everything provided except shoes and all gear was excellent. Weather was unusually warm but our guide, Jack, put us on fish, large and small. Well over 100 strikes, 25 plus at the boat and all released safely. Daughter now "hooked" on fly fishing. I would highly recommend this company. EVERYONE was friendly! I was tired at the end of the trip, left for home and they mailed me my hat and zip offs that I left on a table. I am a 63 yr old DIY'er when it comes to outdoor adventures and this is the best money I ever spent to share unstressed time with one of my kids. Jack made this as easy as I could ever want.

My daughter and I rafted the Salmon river with (Hunter) as our guide. He let us know from the start how safe and fun this day would be. Not only did he make the trip exciting, he also gave us great information about the river, the ecology, and the historical significance of Stanley, & surrounding towns and gold mines in Idaho. From the first rapids we had a blast, that was both a fun, but challenging experience this past father’s day. Hunter was helpful with all his instructions while also making sure we had the best time. It was a few of the younger participants first time rafting in our group and Sawtooth Adventure made our day very memorable. Sawtooth Adventure Co. is located in center of Stanley Idaho and the retail store, and fly shop are newly renovated, clean, and beautiful. I would Highly, highly recommend stopping in. I would definitely recommend this whitewater outfitter as they all are very accommodating in arranging of our reservation & everything ahead of time, complete with shuttle bus service to and from rapids. They also provided an amazing and plentiful lunch which was more than enough to eat. We're are planning on making this a yearly trip.

Aspen was a great guide for us for the afternoon rafting family trip. She was super relaxed and helped my daughter who was nervous relax and want to do it again! Hunter was also fun to ride in the van with and tell corny jokes - he also was great help to us as my kids and husband jumped off the cliff into the water! Fun but also professional. We would definitely return if we are lucky enough to return to Stanley. Thanks for a great afternoon! I cannot remember the photographers name (he alos was the van driver) but he took amazing pictures of us and we never even knew he was there!

We just got back from an amazing rafting trip with Sawtooth Adventure guided by Addy! This was a family trip which included our 83 year old father. Addy was the perfect guide. She watched over our family member, but made sure we all had fun. Addy entertained and educated us on the history of Stanley and the challenges the river faces. She guided us through crazy rapids, instigated a water fight, enticed us into swimming and rock jumping, and served us a delicious, healthy lunch. The whole experience was fantastic. A special "thank you" to Addy for making our family trip so memorable.

Three of us experienced the raft adventure and lunch with our guide Johan who expertly got us through the class three rapids and left us wanting to come back for more. My two teen aged kids and I had a blast on the Salmon River and then lunch was delicious as well. We had been rafting once before, but just once, not in Idaho, and Johan was so calm and in control that we were casually discussing the trees and environment around us in between calls to paddle through some fun class 2 rapids. He was knowledgeable and very positive. We were staying in Ketchum and the drive to Stanley was an easy drive that took us over Galena pass and down the Salmon River upstream of where we would raft. It made for a great day trip out of Sun Valley-

I signed up for the family river raft package since it was my first time. My guide #Hunter was highly experienced, informative, and full of corny jokes (he kept us laughing). He brought the team together, no one entered the water, and there were no rock encounters for our raft. Ample and tasty lunch was provided. I will definitely return and next time go for more rafting challenge on the beautiful Salmon River and some fly fishing.

SAC was great from start to finish. Booking over the phone was super easy, as was check-in and the 20% discount off their merchandise. John, our guide, took time to make sure all were safe and had a blast. His knowledge of the river and local area was much appreciated, we will be back. Our kids, ages 15, 12, and 10, said this was our best river trip yet. Thanks guys!

We enjoyed a fun, relaxing day on the Salmon River with Addy as our guide and Johan as our driver and photographer. Addy was lots of fun with an energetic and positive personality. We had a delicious lunch at the end of our trip. My only wish was that it was longer. They are very professional and seemed very focused on both safety and guests’ enjoyment. I would highly recommend as an area activity.
