About
Redfish Lake Corrals is located at the foot of the spectacular Sawtooth Wilderness offering guided horse trail rides with knowledgeable guides on gentle mountains horses. Rides vary in length from 1 hour to full day rides. As our cowboys and girls educated you as you ride our horses, folks from 6 to 86 will enjoy this special experience as we explore the great views of the high peaks, the crystal clear water and the wild flowers that abound in this nationally protected area. Come see for yourself the grandeur and beauty of the area as the peaks reflect off of the lake while you ride by Big and Little Redfish Lakes.

This was a spectacular experience from beginning to end! The staff makes you feel like you belong there and are excited to make your trip the best it can be. At the beginning, there was a slight drizzle, so they put a western riding poncho on everyone, which they didn't have to do, but they did because they care. I'm not a horseback rider, but I went with my wife and nieces anyway. We had Reegan as our guide, and she was friendly, professional, informative, and lots of fun. She made every minute special. She explained the mountains that we were seeing along the way and a lot about the local wildlife. She absolutely went above and beyond in every aspect of our trip, with a smile on her face the entire time. Johnny was my horse, and he did a great job too. The scenery was breathtaking, impossible to describe. This is one of those things that if you ever get the chance to do, you'll never regret it. Thank you, Reegan, and the entire staff for making it a memory I will always cherish.

This was an amazing experience! It’s our first time to the area and we decided to venture out and try horseback riding — our hosts at Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch recommended Redfish Corrals at Redfish Lake and they were the perfect choice for us! With the four of us being novices, the Redfish Corral team was super helpful getting us ready to ride and encouraging us throughout. Reegan was a terrific guide and super knowledgeable about horses, Redfish Lake and the surrounding mountain area. Our 90-minute ride took us along roaring creeks, through beautiful forested land, and up to ridges with unbelievable vistas of the lakes and Sawtooth Mountains. We stopped for pictures — including selfies! -- in some beautiful spots and took time to appreciate the beauty all around us. Johnny, Dickey, Lager, and Dandy were quite the “horse hosts” and made sure we will never forget our time with them! Special shout out to Reegan for being so fun to ride with!

We just completed our 3rd ride in 3 years with Redfish Lake Corrals. We started with a 2-hour ride, then completed a half-day ride to Bench Lakes the following year, and just completed a whole day ride to Alice Lake. Each time we had kids with us and the team at Redfish Lake Corrals was great, especially Jace. He went out of his way to calm nervous kids and ensure that they got extra attention and time on the horses. We would highly recommend Redfish Lake Corrals and the great experience and adventures they provide.

We had a wonderful morning ride above Redfish Lake with our guide Reegan, who was very knowledgeable. There will be ample opportunity for photos on the ride, but make sure you have a one-handed system WITH a strap. That way you can take photos and maintain control of the reins and even “drop” the camera if needed.
A wide brimmed hat and water bottle are highly recommended. All the horses will have saddle bags for a spare shirt, jacket or water.

My two friends and I went for 1.5 hour trail ride. Rebecca was our guide and she was amazing!! First, the views are so beautiful and the ride overall was so enjoyable. Secondly, when we came across a part of the trail where a new tree had fallen, Rebecca got off her horse and broke some of it apart and make sure it was something all horses were able to walk over. She guided us the whole time on how to work with our horses, including while getting over the tree trunk. We all got over fine and continued the great trail ride! Thirdly, she took time (at a great spot with a great view) to line us up so we could get a picture with the people we came with. Lastly, she talked to us and got to know us which was nice and enjoyable! She also provided different facts about the horses and area/nature we were riding in. I can’t wait to come back again!

One of our favorite trail rides to date! Cora was our guide and she was super friendly and laid back. The horses were very well behaved and gentle. The scenery was beautiful. We did the 1.5 hour ride along the lake and up overlooking the snow capped Sawtooth mountains. It was worth the drive from Sun Valley for the scenery!

Mystic Saddle Outfitters & Redfish Lake Corrals have some of the best and most scenic guided trails available. If you are in the area, I'd definitely recommend booking a ride.
I've done the half day Bench Lakes ride, the full day to Marshall Lake Day and the full day to Alice Lake. So far, Alice Lake is definitely my favorite and I hope to get to try their other full days rides sometime.
I can't leave out that all 3 guides were great! Thanks Mackenna, Sydney and Cora! And and all three of my rides were super enjoyable! Thanks Doc, Ghost & Alpine!

Riding with Mystic is the best! The guides are encouraging, informative and always are looking out for your safety. They are great at making each rider feel comfortable and important. Gauge was the best guide at checking in on everyone, and being very aware of each rider. The 2 hour ride provides a variety of terrain, from a gentle mountain forest to a high mountain ridge view of the Sawtooths. I love riding through the aspen trees and the old growth forest into a meadow where the deer or elk might be seen grazing on knee high grass. The horses are gentle but strong and sure footed enough to carry you with ease. This is the best place to ride in Idaho!!!

We had such a lovely time for my birthday my partner and I decided to on the whim invest in horseback riding through Stanley’s many beautiful views. We had Reagan as our guide, she is extremely knowledgeable and experienced giving all of us a educational, safe, secure and easy-going trek. It was my partners and somewhat my first experiences on horseback and no fear in the world came up. The horses are beaming with personality and you can sense, as well as know based on the Wranglers knowledge, they enjoy the exercise, duty and rides. If you’re on the fence about going just do it! Spend a night or two out there too given there is much too explore and enjoy in Stanley. We recommend Reagan as a wonderful guide, although we’re certain the team as a whole is awesome and love their jobs granting a overall superb and quality experience. 10/10

I took 3 all day rides with Aly and had a fantastic experience. The stable is very organized when you arrive and you are off on your ride at the appointed time. Besides the scenery being breathtaking we were served lunch at a different lake each day. Our guide, Aly, was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. My horse was awesome on the terrain. My time here was once in a lifetime. I highly recommend them whether it is a 1 hour tour or longer. The scenery and the stable will not disappoint you.

Hello! I am just wondering if there is a best time of year for the pack trips? And if they offer refunds if the weather is bad? Thanks!

Hello! Our pack trip season is early July till the first week of September. Typically the weather will be pretty good through that time but that high in the mountains you can sometimes get storms that come through. We do not offer refunds for weather but we are great at being prepared with the right gear in case of unexpected rain, wind or snow. We can sometimes alter the route or trip to accommodate for weather as well. Our dates fill up quickly so if you are thinking about doing a pack trip, please let us know so that we can help you book the best possible dates! Thank you!
