Schweitzer Mountain Resort is a great family place to play in the winter season (usually late November through early April), or adventurers, and even retired folks! The hill is known for it's foggy days (skiing in the clouds), though late March till the end of...More

We attended a Brew Fest at Schweitzer the local ski resort with a young family. We tasted from a selection of twenty micro beers on tap! Schweitzer was the place to go to make snow angels and build a snowman with the four year old...More

Great Mountain. Would be so much better if they would plan more attractiveness on the spot.world class skiing.. They have everything for any type of skier...Sandpoint is a great town that should suit anyone not specifically seeking out the glitz of major resorts.

Lots of powder and good groomers to keep everyone happy. Friendly lifties, though the ubiquitous rock-and-roll at every location is a bit tiring on the ears. Loved the BIng Crosby and other oldies they played in the lodge around Christmas time. Excellent ski school instructors.

Beautiful scenery, can take the lift to the top of the mountain and walk around. Can take the life back down or hike along the trails.

It had been about 20 years since I had skied at Schweitzer, and I am so glad I came back! All the great things I remembered (the excellent runs, the abundant snow) were still there, plus more! You don't spend much time on the chairlifts...More

THE GOOD: Terrific Ski Mtn. Beautiful slopes; beautiful views; all blue runs are groomed daily including many of the black runs; during the weekdays, you will have almost the whole mtn to yourself, i.e., rarely more than a handful of other skiers on any given...More

Had a great time ziplining, and the food at the restaurant was delicious! The view from the lift is amazing.
