Schweitzer is an undiscovered outdoor sports paradise. In the winter the skiing is fantastic with runs that will challenge all skier levels and no lift lines. In the summer there is hiking, climbing, paragliding, mountain biking, a great fishing. Schweitzer is very family friendly. The town...More

Never heard of Schewitzer, when a friend told me about it I thought, on paper it does not look to big. It is deceiving. I could not believe all the terrain, and it was not a very easy mountain. It had plenty of difficult trails,...More

We liked the variety of runs and great grooming. It is a huge place but still managed to be friendly and give the mom and pop feel. Unlike some large ski areas. We would definitely ski there again.

I love Schweitzer Mountain! There is something to do in every season. I rated the value so low because the lift tickets and innertube run are very spendy. Night skiing is the best deal, but you don't get all the lifts. The resort just celebrated...More

In context of mountain views, this could be considered typical. Beautiful, but some folks get blurry-eyed when presented with lots of mountain scenery. (For such folks - taking doses in moderation can help..)

You could say we skiied above the clouds all day. The sun was shinning! We like everything but getting served lunch on the hill was slow! Loved the all you can eat salad bar. Would go again.

The skiing was great, the resort often has snow when other resorts do not. They have great systems in place to make life easy such as gear check at the bottom of the lifts. They have a few interesting shops including a delicatesan and the...More

The skiing was OK. Services are very much for season's pass holders. Which is fine. The daycare was OK... Again, catered towards the children of season's pass holders. They accused my kiddo of screaming and trying to hit them, which makes me think that they...More

Ask around if you know others who have skied/snowboarded there if they know of discount tickets. Schweitzer isn't going to let you know. If coming from North of Sandpoint, in Bonners Ferry, go to Pro-X Hardware. We bought adult lift tickets for $56 each as...More

Hi Chris! The crowds at Schweitzer are nothing like what you've experienced at Whistler! We have 9 lifts on the mountain and lines are rare! Overall, even during the busy holiday season, there's room at Schweitzer for... More
