We planned a day hike and also took the quad lift to the top of the mountain. The area is spectacular with awesome views of Lake Pend Oreille plus distant mountains in all directions. They have different trails for hikers, bikers, and mixed use so a trail map is a must and they have these where you get the lift... More

great place. climate change threatens this resort as many others. ownership should become much more progressive and make it a model of a green resort. do note all the machines are run on diesel and getting bombarded by trucks spewing the ID unregulated exhaust is common.

Our friends took us here and I have to say, it was one of the most wonderful experiences I can ever recall!! It was my first time going up a ski lift and the trip up and down was terrific. The views from up top were breathtaking!! This is a MUST VISIT place!!!

I hadn't been skiing here since I was a kid. A lot has changed. Restaurants, nightlife, shops I have been fortunate to ski all over the world, and would put this mountain pretty high on my list of favorites. Nothing too incredibly challenging, but a good selection of runs. Some of them are surprisingly long too. The thing I like... More

We drove to the top of the mountain since we were told by locals how beautiful it was. It was pretty but nothing to write home about. I've seen a lot more beautiful views upon my travels. During ski season i'm sure my review would be different. All of the shops were closed for the season as well, we just... More

Spring Skiing at Schweitzer Mountain was great! The staff was VERY friendly. This was the 1st time skiing at Schweitzer and we had questions about which runs would be the best for our ski level, we could ask any staff member. There was always a smile from the staff and they would take the time to have a polite conversation... More

Schweitzer Mountain Resort is a great family place to play in the winter season (usually late November through early April), or adventurers, and even retired folks! The hill is known for it's foggy days (skiing in the clouds), though late March till the end of the season in 2016 provided beautiful, warm and sunny days. The groomers do a great... More

We attended a Brew Fest at Schweitzer the local ski resort with a young family. We tasted from a selection of twenty micro beers on tap! Schweitzer was the place to go to make snow angels and build a snowman with the four year old in our conterage. We visited the last week-end of the ski season. There was still... More

Great Mountain. Would be so much better if they would plan more attractiveness on the spot.world class skiing.. They have everything for any type of skier...Sandpoint is a great town that should suit anyone not specifically seeking out the glitz of major resorts.
