My daughter and I, along with several close friends had the great joy of traveling down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River with Aggipah River Trips this. The experience on so many levels exceeded every expectation. I am an experienced enough adventurer, to understand what it takes to pull of a successful river trip. Aggipah had all the components in play, from the professionalism of the guides, their expertise, (unbelievable) and the offering of a safe environment in the midst of the pandemic. On the river we benefited from their stealth guiding to extensive knowledge of the land and river we were floating through. The thrills of white water and fun paddle boating made the trip all the better. Off river we enjoyed excellent food, and thankfully plenty of ice for our gin and tonics! This to have had this trip on our calendar.. and that we went for it.. wish we could go back and do it all again. Thanks to all at Aggipah and especially Steph, who made this trip so amazing.

My family (2 adults/5 teens) just returned from a 6 day/5 night Main Salmon trip with the Aggipah crew. We initially prioritized a local company with an established reputation and knowledge of the river/area. There are numerous reviews below that go into great detail describing the awesome food, fun inflatable kayak availability and comfortable tents/campsites that are all included with an Aggipah trip. Just like everyone else already said, we also truly had the trip of a lifetime. Stephanie and Bill answered all our questions beforehand and have an immeasurable amount of local knowledge that they share throughout the week. Everything from the initial communication to the travel transfers went seamlessly. Each guide had something different to offer, and all were 100% top notch (Thanks Brian, Graham, Jamie and Sidney!). We've been home less than 48 hours and are already working on planning a Middle Fork trip for Summer 2022 - Thanks Aggipah!!

Just returned from a lovely trip on the Main Salmon with Aggipah. Bill Bernt led the trip with help from his daughter Stephanie, his grandchildren Wesley and Walker and his two trainees Beth and Sydney. On our trip we took our own rafts but Aggipah provided all the meals and group gear. Bill told us about river history every day. He has been leading trips since 1977 and knew many of the people up and down the river. He provides books to read while you are on the river. The food was delicious and included things like eggs Benedict, super thick French toast, Dutch oven cinnamon rolls and desserts, barbecued ribs, steak, salmon, pork loin and yummy salads. They were very safety conscious with handwashing stations before we eat our meals.
There was plenty of time to take hikes away from the river to Hot Springs or Pioneer cabins. There is a place to stop for root beer floats. They were able to solve any problems on the river with ease.
I would not hesitate to go with Aggipah We really enjoyed our trip.

This was the best trip of my life. Everything was perfect. The entire crew was so friendly and knowledgeable.
First off, the food. Exceptional. The crew cooked an amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. An example of a dinner--smoked salmon hot of the grill, mushroom pasta with a cream sauce, tossed salad with avocado and shrimp, steamed peas. Desserts every night including warm chocolate cake out of the Dutch oven, cherry cobbler, cheesecakes—all Dutch oven.
Each morning you wake up warm in your tent, the crew has already been up preparing coffee and a sliced fresh fresh tray. All by 6AM.
Breakfast is around served 7:30 and then the crew loaded all your gear and breaks down camp while you enjoy some morning fishing or sitting by the fire or the river.
Each day there are options to ride with ease in a oar boat while one of the excellent guides stead’s you down river, pointing out historical facts or other features. Warning, you will get wet!! Rapids aplenty.
Other options are the paddle boat, where you get to paddle with 6 other guests and are lead by another excellent guide. And then the inflatable kayaks that you can ride yourself if you are feeling adventurous.
We stopped each day to look at ancient pictographs from the native Americans, waterfalls, old homesteads, etc.
You break for lunch each afternoon, take a refreshing swim while the crew prepares a spread of sandwiches, salads, fruits, chips, cookies etc.
Return to the river for another afternoon of fun and splashes in the rapids. Not to mention the views!!!
In the late afternoon, come ashore to camp that has already been set up by the sweep boat crew that floated down earlier in the day. Grab your tent, pick your shady riverfront campsite and unwind while dinner is prepared. The best part was sitting with the other guests and really getting to know everyone over a nice complimentary glass of wine and appetizers.
I would do this trip over and over again and I’ll always choose Aggipah! Bill, Stephanie and crew were top notch!!

Our family just returned from our second trip on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River with this amazing outfitter! They are the real deal. Their experience on the river is beyond extensive and their knowledge of the area is impressive. We love that Aggipah is a family owned and operated outfitter who works alongside their amazing and hardworking crew. As they guided our boats, transported our gear, cooked our five-star meals, and did so much more, they always made time to sit down and talk with us, laugh with us, answer our questions and tell us stories about the river and their experiences. I can't say enough great things about Aggipah. We hope this is one of many more trips on the river with ART. If our family is in the River of No Return Wilderness, we'll be with Bill, Stephanie and John and Aggipah River Trips.

We have traveled twice with Aggipah and cannot recommend them highly enough! Last summer was a women's wellness trip in Late June on the Main Salmon in Lodges and we had such a great trip we booked another mom and daughter trip on the Middle Fork for late July.
Steph and crew are very good at what they do. The safety, food, education on all things Salmon River, and fun options of an oared boat, paddle boat or kayaks were just perfect for our group. They run their trips full of confidence and much hospitality, humor, and amazing dutch oven cooking prowess!
We are already planning another trip back to the Salmon River with Aggipah!
It is noteworthy that I work in the Tourism Industry and my personal bar is very high. Aggipah met or exceeeded all of our expectations!

July of 2020, I traveled with Aggipah on the Middle Salmon and I felt so welcome and at home that I had to go back again! I booked another one for August on the Main, and a month later, it was the best week of my life. Not only is the food and the care they give you is amazing, but the whole crew is also so friendly and is the best. I would recommend Aggipah at any time. Thank you Steph and Bill. You too Earl. ;)

We greatly enjoyed our steelhead fishing trip with Bill. Despite the cold temperatures, Bill kept us warm with his on board heater and warm beverages. He put us at ease with his easy to follow fishing lessons and kept the time interesting with his expansive knowledge of the area. Thanks for the trip!

My husband and I, along with our friends took a 6 day raft trip on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. It was the highlight of our year! From the first put-in to the last take-out, we had a blast. Bill and his staff are very knowledgeable about the river and its history, it was educational as well. Our guides were fantastic humans, to a person. So friendly and helpful. Our safety and comfort was their priority. Our meals were first class. The scenery was unbelievable. It felt like traveling back in time. Everyone got along really well. Thank you to Bill, John, Levi, Aaron, Jamie and Beth (oh and Wesley and Walker, too!) Can't wait to do it again.

My husband and I booked a Middle Fork trip with friends for his 40th birthday. It was an amazing experience, we were impressed by the food, camp and river experience provided by Bill and the guides. We had some on guided boats and others rowing/paddling their own and all of us had a great time. I was a little sad to see the takeout!

We are coming to Salmon June 12th for fly fishing and a horse pack trip into the back country. Do we need to make reservations? We would like to take a river trip for the fly fishing.

Hello! What duration are you looking for on your river trip? We do primarily 3-6 days wilderness river trips on Idaho's Middle Fork and Main Salmon rivers. We do not personally run horse pack trips into the backcountry, but can certainly help you arrange a trip like this in combination with one of our river trips.
