Okay, I might as well say it. I am 75 years old; not in the best of shape; and, a bit wobbly on the old legs at times. It is probably an understatement to say that I was a bit apprehensive about spending 5 days on a river far away from modern conveniences. My Hope was to have fun with my three sons, experience a part of the world where I had never been, and stay warm and dry.

"Life at 3 mph" far exceeded my expectations! The rugged serenity and beauty of the country through which we passed was exceeded only by the camaraderie of the guests and crew that I was privileged to accompany.

I was treated like royalty! Every member of the crew went out of their way to be helpful and make the time with my sons the best ever!

I had great fun riding in the different gear and oar boats. Our guides took extra care keeping me dry and engaging in conversation filled with laughter and intimate knowledge of our surroundings.. The one exception was the guide who chose to reward his guest who wanted to "ride the bull" with a drenching. Although I could not escape the melee, I was rewarded too with a joy-filled memory of the rider flying out of the saddle and into the arms of her husband! The resulting drenching and laughter far outweighed the momentary inconvenience of getting a little wet!

The food and beverage served to us all five days was extraordinary. I could never have imagined that such bountiful and sumptuous meals could have been transported and prepared in the wilderness for so many. I observed that almost everyone of the crew members contributed to my overindulgence with their individual culinary talents creating hors d'oeuvres, main courses, side dishes, and decadent desserts, I am certain that only the ones rowing did not put on an extra pound or two!

Lastly, please allow me to compliment the expedition leaders who allowed their guests to have independent fun in the water and on the land. I imagine it would be far less stressful to insist that all guests remain with their guides instead of going off on their own to ride the rapids or hike in the hills. I am so glad that they didn't. Watching my sons having a blast navigating the rapids in the "duckies" and jogging ahead to the next downstream pick up point on the exceptionally well maintained Middle Fork River Trail has given me so many treasured memories that I will never forget.

To my sons and, especially, the management and staff of Boundary Expeditions: thank you, thank you for a wonderful and memorable time on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River that passed all too quickly!

It's hard to put to words the feelings that came from being on this trip. Five days of being unplugged, of briefly living in such a beautiful landscape, of having new adventures and making new friends—all of this contributed to creating something that felt akin to magic. As someone who had wanted to make this trip down the Middle Fork for at least a decade, I worried that I'd built everything up in my head but this far exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to do it again.

My wife and I joined some family members on a 5 day Boundary trip down the lower fork of the Salmon River. We were a little nervous before we embarked, due to high water flows in late June. Our concerns were quickly alleviated after meeting our amazing guides. They are highly trained and incredibly safety conscious. The entire staff was outstanding from start to finish. They are true professionals who love what they do. We were spoiled daily with fantastic cuisine and great wine. I never imagined a raft trip could be so luxurious. It is more like Executive camping. Daily hikes to beautiful waterfalls, hot springs. Bald eagles, Native American history, all in a serene and beautiful setting.A multi day trip with Boundary is a getaway that allows one to unwind and rediscover what is truly important in life. Adventure, family and friends sharing a unique experience that you will never forget. Thanks to The entire Boundary team. See you again in the near future.

This was an incredible trip in the historic Frank Church Wilderness on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. The beautiful river and landscape are constantly changing as you move through the wilderness. All that you hear for days are the sounds of birds, water and the wind in the trees.

The staff of Boundary Expeditions were extremely professional, keeping our safety and comfort as the utmost priority. Yet, they made the whole experience abundantly fun and exciting! They taught us much about the history and environment of the river, and the art of rafting.

Book the trip, relax and enjoy!

I enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends. Morning coffee around the camp fire as the sun shone brightly on canyon walls was magical!
