This small museum is the normal hodge podge of random items from yesteryear. There is a small room dedicated to Philo Farnsworth; it contains a few old televisions. We saw no history or information about him. You can walk thru the entire one room museum...More

A pilgrimage of sorts (we were in the region) to the Philo Farnsworth exhibit in the Jefferson County Historical Museum aka The Farnsworth TV & Pioneer Museum. Mr. Farnsworth was an amazingly talented electronics inventor and developer - a child prodigy and genius - well...More

Always closed. When I called the number on the website, there was a voice message saying the museum is "open by appointment". Left a message, still not called back over a week later. The state should take down all the signs on roads leading tourists...More

Community museum. Similar experience to poking around an antique shop but concentrated on the Rigby, Idaho area and it's residents. Not the Smithsonian, but funky and fun way to spend an hour.

Everyone should check this museum out at least once. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Great walk down memory lane and great for the younger generation to see and hear how things worked.

Lots of rooms to see different collections of pioneers history. A big room displays the history, equipment and inventions of Mr. Farnworth's television discovery. Kids through adults all should enjoy something of everything there.

This is the kind of little, local, neighborhood museum one would expect to find maybe back in the 1940's. Once we entered the front door, I swear it was sweet Aunt Bee (from the Mayberry show) who came to take our admission fee...think she even...More

Only $2 charge to visit. Was small but enjoyed all of the antiques. All of the different rooms you look through the glass at were good, each one was different from the other ones. If you like antiques, this is a good museum to visit....More

The Farnsworth TV and Pioneer Museum, in Rigby, Idaho, is pretty good. The pioneer part consists not so much of artifacts from the very early days, although there are some, but mostly from the middle to late 1900's. Effectively it is a county museum, as...More
