Just a short distance from the Leederville shopping area and an easy location to find. A tranquil lake with lots of bird life and grass area to enjoy. Be warned watch where you decide to sit on the grass as may be a big bird had made a deposit there earlier. Black swans and a variety of ducks and dab... More

We love to walk around this lake to see the black swans, pelicans and various species of ducks and birds. It is a really good exercise trail and if you work it right you can also pop into Leaderville for coffee. The walk also takes you thro ugh the nature reserve. There are various viewing platforms around the lake.

This is a beautiful lake which is situated close to Perth (actually Leederville)and near the freeway. There is a train station nearby. The lake is home to a large amount of birdlife especially black swans. When we were there a mother swan had her cygnets following her around on the grass banks. There is lots to take photos of while... More

Just 5 minutes from the Perth City centre you will find this nice Lake to walk around. Dogs are ok to take. Has some playground equipment for children also.

It's close to the Freeway, but extensive planting of native species over the past two decades has muted the noise of traffic on the eastern side, and greatly improved the appeal of the place. The historic southern section with its Norfolk Pines and Weeping Willows is being maintained, though. there is a good dual use walking/cycling/running (okay, not dual, tri-... More

Great gardens and scenery. Ducks and Swans very playful. Yes snakes around (Tiger), but stick to the trails and path. Great for families and picnics.

A friend of mine and I dropped by to walk around the lake after the gym. It was a lovely walk that was flat! That was really nice! We live in an area that is quite hilly and it was a nice change of pace. There is a lot of birds (many black swans!) to keep it interesting as well.... More

I don't know why it took me so long to visit this lake when I live nearby (although I just moved here). This lake is beautiful and I can see why it's popular with walkers on the weekend. It has a great walking track around the outside of the lake with neatly constant views of the lake. Great to visit... More

A decent long walk with plenty of wildlife and some great views of the city skyline. Watch out for snakes though, saw a couple last time.
