Lake Monger was across the road from where we stayed and we utilized it for exercise while we were there. The lake area is quite expansive and well maintained. The lake could do with a at least a mobile coffee outlet, which I think over time would make good money.

Great spot for a morning run or walking the dogs. There are plenty of exercise stations dotted around the main 3.5km loop and also a few different car parks for those who don't live within a short walk/run.

Quiet place to have a walk or jog. It's a bit disappointing as I only saw one black swan in the lake.

Lake Monger is set along side the Freeway North but, other than next to the freeway itself, is a tranquil setting with made pathways and many different species of birds. There are ducks and black swans in the lake and it seems to attract whole flocks of galahs and parrots. The circumference is about 3.5 kilometres so a decent walk,... More

Breathtaking. When by taxi from cbd here. Around 12aud. Then its a long walk towards nearest train station. Better to have own transport coming here.

Great spot to have a run, it's about 3.5km's around the lake with many other people doing the same. Plenty of play equipment for the kids, and parking.

A pleasant place to spend a few hours walking around the lake. Plenty of wildlife, mainly birds of all sorts including the black swans. There is also a playground for the kids to spend some time. Used to take the dog for a walk around the lake. When the kids were younger we used to ride the bikes around the... More

What a great place to exercise and relax with the family. Plenty of room for picnics and a kick of the footy.

Lake Monger is a large area that allows you to both work out and get fit or sit down and relax with family and friends. The track around the lake is well laid out and good for running, the picnic areas are well located in shady areas around the park. There is a lot of wildlife to check out and... More
