What a wonderful place to visit and explore history. Self guided tour with the ability to read precious stories. Be sure to allow plenty of time to explore. Would not recommend young children only because you want the time to read and look at exhibits.
Nampa is proud of their museum, and rightly so. All four major armed services of the USA are represented here. Plenty of periodicals, books, maps, pictures, hand written recollections, machinery, wartime videos, armaments, cars, planes, guided or self guided tours..... I could go on but...More

We visited as a couple and saw lots of great historical stuff including videos, airplanes, documents, photos, uniforms and much more. This is worth seeing. I would take at least 2 hours or more to see the whole museum. It s mostly uncrowded and easy...More

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and the displays are fantastic. The P-40 Warhawk is one of the best and it still flies. The yearly fly in is the best in Idaho.

There is a cafe that overlooks the airfield that was open when we visited..A grill type of place. We went into Nampa and ate at Freddy's - which I also wrote a review on. It was great! Wonderful for a family...
