This moment is for quiet time, listen to the wind and look at the Vista as well as yourself. Now listen to God, can you hear Him. He made this just for you. He gave me this time to remind you just what this is all about. You and Him. Quit listening to the doubter, just listen to Him.

Here is a poignant, beautiful memorial to honor two well-loved fallen firefighters, with stories about them on plaques. Here too, is a view of "eternity" and a hike along canyon walls where the Snake River runs through it. Eagles and hawks nest here.

Breathtaking, wonderful, in the summer it is really really hot so be prepared. Fall is wonderful and the animals are out and roaming. Winter is when you see ice crystals, snow and the area is different Christmas time is wonderful here. Spring the new babies are everywhere the birds are everywhere showing their offspring to the world. Come to Idaho any time of the year you will discover new and exciting things to do here. Please pack it in and pack it out you will fall in love with this area too.

This is a nice short walk across the high desert of Idaho to an overlook of the Snake River. There is a wall and no danger of falling off, but don't let kids walk along the wall as the basalt below will make for a hard landing. Watch for wind anytime of the year and catch sights of the many raptors and their prey that inhabit the area.

I think this is the most outstanding view of the Snake River from this particular area of the canyon. Dedication Point is stop #7 along the Western Heritage Historic Byway, and it is very easy to find, has a decent parking lot, and can be accessed on foot via a non-strenuous, quarter-mile trail. The overlook has platforms surrounded by stone walls, and there’s plenty of area for lots of people. I was there on a blustery day, and I thought the “viewscape” was even more dramatic with the slightly gloomy backdrop. Also, it was a bit cold, but I had the whole place to myself.

Expansive views after a short walk, and we saw a golden eagle cruising back and forth above the cliff edge. Great info boards on birds you can see in the area. Avoid the afternoon in summer —- hotter than hell!

Easy walk to the overlook. Great view of the Canyon and looking down on an old homestead. Very good spot of amateur geologists.

This is a portion of canyon just downstream from Swan Falls, approx. 17-18 miles South of Kuna. It overlooks an area where an old homestead was located many years ago. The area has picnic tables, sun shades, and restrooms. A large rock wall separates the area with the canyon, but caution should be taken if you have young children. Our last trip there was a couple of weeks back. It is well maintained, and has a nice walking trail around the property. A number of wildlife, and native plants are pointed out on the trail signs located there. A nice place to visit!

This attraction on the Western Heritage Scenic Byway is a scenic overlook with a view of the Snake River 400' below. The site is within the Snake River Birds of Prey Conservation Area so watch for hawks and eagles along the cliffs. There are informative signs and a memorial to fallen firefighters. You must park and walk about 1/4 mile to the edge of the canyon. Some descriptions state that the trail is wheelchair accessible. While it did appear to be mostly level, when we visited in July 2017 it was not paved and was somewhat overgrown by vegetation. Hot in summer with little or no shade; go prepared for sun exposure. Restrooms are available at the parking area.

We came to Kuna to visit with friends for a few days. We drove up here for the scenery. It was dusk before we left. The snake river is so beautiful and vast. Oregon is on the other side of the mountains.
