Welcome to the Riviera of the West! A Salmon River rafting dreamland come true. This is the legendary Salmon River of No Return where beautiful white-sand beaches glisten in the warm sun. Where 70-degree water beckons swimmers of all ages and whitewater rapids splash and make everyone beam with big grins from ear to ear. No other rafting river in the West is such a perfect combination of fun, intermediate rapids, awe-inspiring western scenery and gigantic white sand beaches with idyllic camping conditions. Daytime temperatures are typically 85 to 95 degrees and this, coupled with the warm river water, make for a rafting vacation like no other.

Our trip on the Salmon River was incredible. Everyone in our family of five (8,11,13,44,48) loved it. My husband and I were relaxed and invigorated at the same time. Our kids were beside themselves with fun activities that gave them a sense of adventure and independence. The scenery was awe inspiring, the guides were skilled and enjoyable to be around,... More

The Salmon River Canyons trip was perfect for me and my 5 year old. We felt comfortable and safe the whole time and had a beautiful, fun, comfortable camping experience. The guides are great people and very experienced. The food is awesome. They set up your tents for you each night. The camp spots have white sand beaches and are... More

This was one of the best family vacations we've taken in a long time. Unplug from life and enjoy this terrific stretch of river. We organized our rafting through Orange Torpedo on a four-day, three-night trip. They have kayaks and rafts, which were a great combination for our extended group of family and friends.

My family of 5- wife and daughters ages 12 and twins at 10 all loved this trip. Sleeping under a massive sky full of stars at night on white sand beaches and then playing in the river all day. The white water rapids were fun and the guides kept everything safe. My youngest daughter told me on the last night... More

This August we took ROW Adventures' Family Magic rafting trip on the Salmon River- this was a new adventure for us and our two kids, ages 8 and 12. We had done some overnight car camping but this was a new level of "outdoorsyness" for us (leave no trace camping for 4 nights, 5 days)-- Short story: We LOVED the... More

Thank you so much for writing such a thoughtful review of your trip with us on the Salmon! I'm so glad to hear you and your family had so much fun, and enjoyed our guides. As you said, they are very concerned with safety, but also want to make it fun. So cute that your kids were sad to have... More

Our trips with ROW in the past on the Rogue River were fantastic, but our recent "Family Magic" trip down the lower Salmon was anything but. Most of the guides were very good, but Lead Guide "Mark" practically spoiled our trip. He is a River-guide-egomaniac and about as friendly as a prickly pear cactus. Over 95 percent of his interactions... More

Thank you for writing a review. We really appreciate the feedback. We have been in touch with your spouse to discuss this in more detail, and how we can remedy the situation. As you mentioned from your experience on the Rogue River trip with us, this is not typical of our tours. Customer service is of utmost importance to us.... More

My first experience was deer hunting, which is really good. The river has beach after beach, clear water (once the spring floods subside). The four raft trips I've taken were exhilarating; exciting water, stunning scenery, and the ever present white-sand beaches, plus warm (sometimes more than warm) temperatures in late June thru September make it something for your bucket list.... I live near Riggins ID, and the Salmon River Canyons is my local whitewater playground. The rapids above, through and just below Riggins are rated class II-III, though high water (which we will have this spring) can bring Ruby and Lake Creek up to huge IVs. Come to Riggins the first Saturday in June and run through these big rapids... More

We spent 5 nights on the Salmon River with the ROW team. It was one of the best family holidays we have taken! Our boys (10/7) absolutely loved being on the river and camping at different beaches each night. The guides were brilliant! They were funny, knowledgable, great cooks and put everyone at ease! We would highly recommend seeing the... More
