Excellence all the way around. While the Main Salmon is not an inexpensive trip, the value received is very high. At no point did I ever feel I wasn't getting far more than I paid for. The food alone is worth half the cost. Three, three course meals per day. All very well balanced & properly served. The side hikes & area knowledge was very informative, given by those who actually grew up in the area.
They also provide much of the gear if one doesn't have their own. I did bring my own, important gear, Paco pad and tent.
River knowledge was excellent, Tess, is truly very, very impressive. The woman needs a raise Seth! Her fantastic crew showed her upmost respect. A clear sign of a glimpse behind the scene. Shaun, Bridger & Vince...I look forward to tripping with you all again soon!

We are currently working with Seth to go on a trip to the South Fork of the Flathead at the end of July. Seth has been personally involved in this trip because it is a custom deal, mostly because we wanted to take another trip with WRO, but really are not fishermen-and this is usually a fishing trip. Seth has worked hard to make the trip work for ALL of us. This will be our 4th trip with WRO, and after taking trips with other rafting companies, I can honestly say, WRO is the BEST! We have loved all the guides, and all the trips. They really strive to make each person comfortable and happy! We love our trips with this company!

This was the perfect summer rafting adventure for our family and friends. The class III water was just exciting enough to keep us holding on, but not feeling anxious about our safety. Our guides on the lower Salmon River were excellent! Yonis, Sarah, Charlie, Dove, and Cayla worked 17+ hours a day to provide us with excellent food, safe river running, and all the help we needed to navigate our multi night glamping adventure with our 22 friends and family on a private trip. We are steak, salads, salmon, avocado toast, and the best pancakes ever just to name my favorites. Our tents and sleeping equipment were clean and fresh, the coffee was made before sunrise, and Yonis helped the kids detangle their fishing lines a 1000 times. Our camping spots were perfectly Sandy beaches that confined the kids to a reasonable play area so the adults could relax as the sun went down. I’d probably pay a little extra for a full time kid wrangler/jester to join us next time, but can’t say I’d change a single thing. Thanks, WRO!!! I can’t wait until next time.

Six girlfriends booked an 11 day raft trip with WRO on the Tatshenshini in Canada and Alaska. We’re experienced kayakers and this was our first guided/outfitted river trip. My expectations were pretty high but these guys blew me away!
#1 their knowledge and river skills were amazing. They can park a raft on a dime in rough water while telling you a story.
#2 they ran the cleanest camp I’ve ever been in. Our personal hygiene and camp hygiene kept us safe from small viruses and large critters at the same time.
#3 they were really fun, laid back people that truly made the trip feel like a group of friends
#4 the FOOD!!! These guys can make anything in a Dutch oven. Peach cobbler, pineapple upside down cake, brownies. Oh the real food- salmon, halibut, fajitas, French toast, frittatas …. We had gluten free and vegan on the trip and they accommodated us all. Best fruit and veggies I have had in a long time. How did they do it?
#5 they went out of their way to get me glacier ice for my drink.
We’re planning another trip in 2023 with them.

Absolutely a trip of a lifetime on the Middle Salmon. Went along with eight other old old men who've been friends for over 40 years, telling the same dirty jokes and giving each other the same old crap we've given each other since 1975. The three other parties on the trip tolerated us well, and the guides... wow. Alex, Dove, Carly, Emily, Jessica, Tyler, Jonas, and Andrew treated everyone (22 guests total) like royalty while they challenged us to reach for bigger paddling and hiking adventures while they still got us down the river safely. And get this. Not a single glitch in six days. Not one. Nobody hurt, nobody angry, nobody lost, no missing gear, not even a single burned biscuit. The food was perfect, the guides stayed happy and professional and were perfect hosts. Thank you thank you thank you!

We had wanted to raft the Middle Fork of the Salmon since 2015, when it was recommended to us by a guide who led our trip through the Grand Canyon on the CO river. After researching lots of outfitters, we opted for WRO, who promised a great trip and a gluten free menu for Joe, who has celiac disease. Our expectations were far exceeded! The guides were so skilled, very personable and really knowledgeable about the river, the Frank Church Wilderness and lots of other interesting things. The rapids were frequent, often huge and always exciting. The views, hikes and waterfalls were beautiful. The food was delicious, abundant and almost entirely safe for Joe… and they were diligent in telling him when it wasn’t. The guides’ expertise in rafting the river and in cooking over an open fire were top notch. Thanks so much to Will, Jonas, Dove, Nyima, Carly, Sarah and Addy. You ran a really fun and awesome trip… and I hope I spelled all your names correctly. We’ll be recommending WRO for years. 👍👍

This was hands down one of the best guided adventures we’ve done. Seth and his crew have all the right equipment for everything. Food is delicious. Campsites amazing and the guides skilled, professional and fun to be around. They took extra safety precautions with food handling and social distancing because they are the best at what they do.
Don’t hesitate to bring your whole family on the Lower Canyon Salmon Trip it’s perfect for all ages.
We will be back ever year! ❤️

WRO is a 5 star, top notch guide company that I would not hesitate to book with again on any of their various river trips. I can't say enough about our fabulous Main Salmon WRO guides: Andrew, Shawn, Dove, Bridger, Dave and Tessa. WRO puts together a safe, fun, memorable, and unique river trip. How their trips stand out: they cook most their food over a fire and offer an impressive, fresh menu. They catered to all our dietary needs: vegetarian, nut-free, gluten-free, lactose-free and massively hungry teenagers! It's as if their guides are private chefs, offering a great variety and plenty for all. Their guides would spend time with the clients to play beach games, go on hikes, and tell us local history. WRO guides balance work ing hard with a relaxed, positive vibe. Go to the river!

Eight of my friends and I were on the Middle Fork Salmon River trip between Monday June 7 and Saturday June 12, 2021. I am sure I speak for all of us when I say it was a fabulous trip and a wonderful experience. As we have aged, spending time together in some fashion and in some place has become very important. The Middle Fork trip was our first group backcountry/wilderness adventure and I’m very pleased it was with WRO. Our guides Alex, Dove, Jonas, Emily, Jessica, Andrew, Carly, and Tyler, were awesome and key to the success of the trip. We took immense pleasure in their company, willingness to share their knowledge, and their professionalism on and off the river. Their respect for the river, the wilderness, the ethics of leave no trace backcountry travel, and the ambience of spending companionable time in a remote area substantially enhanced the trip. Experiencing oared rafts, paddle rafts, and Duckies made for a super trip and a breadth of experiences.

Our family has summer after summer of great rafting experiences with WRO and our 12 day excursion on the Alsek in the Yukon, BC and Alaska is no exception though it was a much different experience that all prior.
We had a majority of very "Alaska" weather days - big winds, lots of mist and moisture and some rain and not much sun. Fortunately, we were prepared and that is always key.
The WRO experience is always one of supreme comfort and complete confidence in their abilities to keep us safe and on water just above freezing, that's very important.
They celebrate the beauty and grandeur of wherever they take us and make it all the more special and meaningful.
