Lovely afternoon at Redfish lake. Took the shuttle boat over and then hiked to Lily Pond and on up to waterfalls. Gorgeous. Take plenty of water, hiking snacks or picnic and enjoy. Crowded at the lodge on a hot summer day, so we didn't have...More

We had a spectacular horseback ride highlighted by views of the mountains and lake with the Redfish Lake Corrals. We chose this as the water was a bit rough for our planned kayak paddle. The lake is lovely with the surrounding peaks. We noted people...More

Redfish Lake is one of the truly beautiful spots in Idaho. There is a lot of recreation available including horseback riding, boating and water skiing. Hiking trails take you into the fabulous Sawtooth Mountains.

This is one of the most charming places in America. Think 1950s America without the racism! Even if you go for just an afternoon this place is worth checking out and relaxing in. It is truly a special place.

Good question. When I was there last fall I did see several boats on the lake, but don't know if they were rentals or owned. You might want to check with the lodge. If anyone rents them, they would know..
