You'll have to look hard to find it; it's at a rest stop! But what a cool place to visit! Definitely worth a stop and a chance to stretch your legs on the nice clean trails. Rock formations are very unique.

Let me start by saying dont use Google maps- takes you down a different interstate. Maybe there's a different lava field down there but is off interstate 15 south at a rest stop, mile marker 101. With that said, it is a neat little stop...More

Very clean, organized, and nice! My girls were thrilled to be walking on lava rocks! The path had information stops on it, it is very interesting. Would definitely stop by if ever driving through Idaho again!>

Amazing place. It did not look like anything on this earth. I would suggest being very fit though as we did not take the normal walkways. Climbing thru the lava rock fields from another direction looked very daunting, but, as a foursome of 70 year...More

Stop here for a few minutes of rest and relaxationz, we liken this to same landscape in central Wyoming, also Hells 1/2 acre. Worth the stop and shoot a pic!

Hell's Half Acre is the name of the trails on the lava flow, which cuts across US 20 and I-15 in the Snake River Valley. There are very short trails from both the northbound and southbound rest stops on I-15, about 15 miles... More
