The greenbelt has steadily improved over the years. People enjoy walking along the river while taking in natures beauty. Many food establishments within walking distance. Highly recommend a stop by the famous Snake River.
Beautiful views of the river, the Falls, flowers and other sites. Great for couples, families, or groups. Easy enough for people with difficulty walking and challenging enough areas for children who want to climb.
What a terrific setting for a slow stroll enjoying the scenery or employing a quicker pace to work off some extra pounds from eating in the great restaurants nearby. There is even a great place along the walk to stop and watch trains go by.
The Greenbelt has outstanding paved paths for bicycling, walking, jogging or enjoying the Snake River on a grassy, shaded area. Our elementary-age grandkids love to bike to the Greenbelt and have lunch on one of the picturesque knolls along the river.

There are some spots for fishing along the Snake River. I have only seen one or two people. I would suggest you go out of the city limits a little further down the river. The Greenbelt is more for walking around.
