Our guide Adam! I have rafted (years ago with a group providing their own rafts) this stretch of the Payette River before, so knew what to expect. My sister and her 9 and 12 year old grandsons had never been on a raft trip before, so I felt this was the best option to take them on. Adam was awesome! He was knowledgeable about Idaho wildlife, was the king of clean (groaner) jokes for kids and was really able to engage with the boys - teaching them how to steer the raft and encouraging them to "bullride" on the front of the raft. They really had a fabulous time. For my part, while 3 of the 4 of us were dumped in the water on the first rapids, I was impressed at how cool and collected Adam was - including his ability to pull two heavy old ladies back into the raft. And, he was just really personable, nice and fun to be around.

Thank you for your kind words, and I am glad Adam had such a great time with your crew! I will send your kudos along to him, and we hope to see you on the water again soon!
Thanks

Cascade Raft and Kayak did a great job with our entire group. We had a range of ages from 5-65. They were on time, had extra equipment to keep everyone warm and comfortable on the river (wet suit, dry suit tops, wet suit tops) the guides were experienced, fun, helpful, and made our experience priceless. I would highly recommend doing a rafting trip and Cascade Raft and Kayak.

First of all, I very rarely write reviews, both positive or negative strictly because I believe everyone's experiences are what they make them. However, we had one of our best days of fun, excitement & entertainment. Our guide Jeremy was AWESOME!!! He was very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. He made our entire family of 8 feel safe and confident on our full day rafting experience of the Canyons section of the Sout Fork. He made us well prepared for the 8 class 4 rapids we encountered and what to expect before we entered each one. This was our first full day rafting experience, but not our last. Request Jemery on you next rafting trip, he will make it an AWESOME experience!!!

All was impressive at check in, smooth and professional All down hill from there!
he all day trip should have been condensed to a half day trip as the extremely long interludes from one set of rapids to the next went way to long. The horrible amount of wasted time (hour and half) for the staff to prepare the promised box lunch which turned out to be an on site, unwashed in the sun sliced tomates, cucumbers and romaine lettuce with a side of peanut butter and jelly! No meat or cheese for even a sandwich! If ice had been in the equation to keep drinks cold it had left a long time back and not near enough for the size of our groups. During the trip one of the female Guides encouraged 2 girls in her raft to perform a paddle to paddle stunt in a VERY shallow rocky area, the girls fell out and one did hurt her knees while her Guide just laughed! Our Guide was in agreement with us that "was a very bad idea"!
Leaving the site at 9am and finally getting back at 5pm with such a horrible lunch and maybe 3 hours on the actual water I can think of other ways to spend $90 plus tax per person!

I found out about Cascade Raft & Kayak through a friend who invited me to take an Intro to Kayaking class with him and a few more of our friends. We were grouped with our two guides, Logan and Kyler, who were extremely knowledgeable and fun to be around. They helped us learn the proper way to maneuver ourselves in our kayaks and how to safely navigate obstacles in the river. Lunch was fantastic and the overall attitude of everyone I came into contact with was amazing. If you're looking to learn about whitewater kayaking, I highly recommend spending some time on the Payette with these fine folks.

Kyler and Logan!!! Love those two, so happy to hear you had a great time with them. Kayaking is an incredible sport and you are in the best place in the world to enjoy it!
Hope to see you on the water again soon.

My husband and I went on the South Fork of the Payette River with them for our bachelor and bachelorette parties. They were very accommodating and made sure that our large party fit into two boats. They were very thorough in their safety briefings, and they walked the line perfectly between professionalism and fun. The guide on our raft was Casey, and he was absolutely fabulous. I felt very safe in his hands and he was also extremely entertaining. The whole trip was non-stop fun and we all left with huge smiles on our faces and great stories to tell. They also have a trip photographer who takes amazing photos. We purchased them for our whole group. I will certainly recommend this organization to anyone in Boise looking for a great way to get out on some whitewater!

We had a wonderful full day rafting experience on the South Fork with Amparo and Logan. The experience exceeded our expectations in service and fun. For our first time doing a full day with Class 3 and 4, we felt extremely safe, yet challenged to face our fears!

This company has everything dialed in! What an amazing rafting trip with Cascade Raft & Kayak! I have never experienced a company so organized before, during and after an outdoor experience! From checking in to checking out, Cascade was superior! Great guides, free lockers, fun bus ride to the rive and an awesome, fun day on the river! They also have a gift shop and café on beautiful grounds to relax before or after. Our guide, Charlie, was the best! He was knowledgeable, helpful to "newbies" on our raft, funny, and made this the highlight of our trip to Idaho. We did the 1/2 day trip (class 11/111) and there were some fun and exciting rapids and lots of time to just chill and experience the river and nature. Next time we will go for the next rafting trip up for a few more thrills but this was a great introduction for someone who hasn't rafted before. They also take photos of your raft at different points during the trip that you can purchase after. Their prices for the photos are SO reasonable and you can get them downloaded on the spot. I appreciate a company who takes care of their customers and doesn't nickel and dime them! Will DEFINITELY do this again with Cascade!!!

We have long wanted to raft the Canyon section of the South Fork of the Payette River and finally were able to swing it in late August.
We had high expectations and these were met, and then some, by Cascade Raft & Kayak Company. Our guide, Shane and accompanying kayaker Sebastian, were wonderful. Shane was experienced, friendly, knowledgeable, and humorous. We will request him to guide us again on our next trip.
The trip has four Class IV and several Class III rapids, with stops at some hot springs and a nice beach for lunch. It was a great mix of occasional excitement, mellow floating and great scenery.
Anne was extremely patient and helpful answering all our questions by email before booking the trip. And the prices in their store were very reasonable.
We would highly recommend this trip and doing it with Cascade Raft & Kayak Co.

This was a family trip for some of our relatives that were visiting from out of town. We had heard good things about Cascade Raft, and everything was validated. Our guide Patrick made us feel completely comfortable (we had 3 children under 9)
One of our children has asthma and we were able to keep an inhaler with Patrick during the trip.
We had just enough rapids and during the down time we could exit the boat and swim in the current.
Lots of fun riding on the front of the raft for the little ones.
At the end of the trip there are professional photos you can purchase, a bar and picnic areas.
They have lockers for valuables, changing rooms and restrooms.
This was totally worth it!

What fun! Nice people. Our guide Mahalie was fun and skilled. Try "riding the bull" if you really want a face full of river.
