Palm Tree Gardens was a shore excursion option offered through Celebrity Cruises. Our group enjoyed a pleasant stroll through the gardens as the guide explained multiple types of primarily palms and some flowering species. The gardens are, indeed, mostly palm trees. If you're thinking more floral type (as I thought it would be) these gardens this might not be what you're looking for. That said, views are stunning and the guides excellent. One other note: the gardens are built into a hillside where steep slopes and steps involved. While someone with a cane can do, you'll need to be very stable and agile with it. We had a full tour of the garden, taking about 75 minutes, from their very knowledgeable gardener / tour guide Travis. This is a young garden, planting only starting in 2007, after the destructive Hurricane Ivan had hit the island two years before. However plants and trees grow quickly in the tropics and there are at least 300 to see on the tour. For the tropical plant enthusiast and for the visitor who just wants to see a wonderful display of colour, this is an excellent garden to visit. It's accessible a few miles inland from St. George's, but for drivers not confident on windy, narrow roads, use a taxi or local excursion company.…
