Was a remarkable visit. Went to Lido at dusk for dinner (La Taverna - pizza), and abler through the beach at about 8.30pm. The beach was empty, flat and the sky was alight with lightning. Was such an amazing surreal feeling to be there all alone. I'm sure this may have been a one off, however this beach seemed incredible... More

While staying at the Excelsior hotel we were able to have a visit on the famous lido beach. Lucky we were when there was also a kite festival that weekend!

Great beach, the sand and view is lovely. At the end it is a public beach which is great as there are restaurants, bars and ice cream etc with a great vibe! What spoils the beach is that they flatten the sand with tractors each day which crushes all the beautiful shells on the sand (there are loads!), so there's... More

So easy to get to and many services. Central Lido is 10 minutes away, so plan on lunch, or gelato or a beer or cocktail on your outing. Water was calm and warm. Lots of space on the beach. Great for families for an afternoon break from intense Venice museum pounding. Morning sunrise location too.

Nice, long beach with tons of cabanas available. Several places to grab a bite to eat or drink. Enjoyable afternoon spent walking along the beach.

Considering how overrated Venice is, Lido Beach is quiet & chill. Away from the commercial St. Mark's Square, Lido Beach is 20 mins away from the heart of Venice with beautiful streets & chill cafes. Recommended.

Nice beach. If you're in Venice for a few days and want to relax, it's worth a visit. Not the best beach in the world but it was nice!!

Nice sandy beach with huts to shelter from Sun if too hot, most belong to the hotels though If your a shell collector then bring a bag.
