About

We visited the Church St Francis of Assisi in late afternoon arriving from St. Tropez. It was different universe.... We also climbed up to the top of the church. It was only EUR 1/person and the view was super cool!

We loved the whole village like Venice. We used ship-shuttle from Sainte-Maxime.
The view from the tower is great.

A simple, tranquil church in a beautiful setting. Escape the opulence and materialism of the marina for quiet contemplation. When we visited they had exposition on Wednesday at 1730 followed by Mass at 1830. Mass was also on Saturday at 1830.

The church is very minimalistic compared to most churches in the south of France, but the highlight of the visit is the view of Port Grimaud from the tower on the top of the church

Thank you for your comment about St Francis Church. This church is quite new, only 51 years old, it's maybe why you did not find the charm of oldest churches ;) Hope you enjoyed the view at the top ! See you soon Grimaud Tourisme

My husband and I got married in this beautiful church. Such a magical spiritual place. We then hired a launch with driver who took the wedding party around the waterways. We stayed at Hotel Le Suffren just opposite the church.

Built by Spoerry as part of the Port Grimaud developement, this is a modern building with no architectural merit for me. Others who like modern architecture will disagree! Non sectarian....Cof E and RC services throughout the year. Big plus is the view from the tower...2 euro entrance.

This little church is the resting place of Francois Spoerry, the architect who designed it and the surrounding marina/town of Port Grimaud. Beuatiful modern stained glass windows colour the interior, which is cool and welcoming on a hot day.

Well worth the trip to the top of the tower, But do it during the day and again at night to take in the lights over the bay.
