Downata Hot Springs is a 100 year old hot springs ranch located 4 miles south of Downey Idaho. We now have new hot pools and a new dining room! Downata has several cabins and yurts for lodging along with a campground, picnic areas, tepee and wall tent rentals and more. The water facilities include a large naturally hot spring heated pool with three slides. There is also two large tube slides on the hill and a water playground, sauna and hot tub. Summer activities include lighted volleyball court, meeting room, snack bar, swim lessons, horseshoes, playground and several pavilions for family reunions. During the winter, steak and soak and pizza and pool deals are offered along with massages. A new pool log was added in the winter of 2011 for some steamy winter time fun. Downata is an old resort but the lodging is new and the owners are adding more improvements each year to this old hot springs resort. Come join us down at a hot springs.

The cabin we stayed in was small, comfy, and cozy, unfortunately the service was not. The town seemed to be shut down(many "For Sales signs), so bring your own groceries/sundries because the closest somewhat stocked store is about half an hr away. There wasn't much...More

A great place for families. Great campground with options for RV, tent, cabin rentals, teepee rentals. Public restrooms with showers. Warm swimming pool, hot pools, water slides, and a restaurant. Pet friendly as well. A fun, relaxing getaway.

I am so sorry that you found our campground not satisfactory. Our campground was built on marshlands back in the sixties. RV's were not as large back then as they are now. We have tried to make the sites larger with the space that is...More

This campground has a number of attractions--swimming pools, hot tubs, playgrounds, sports opportunities, etc. and various "housing" options--yurts, tepees, RV rental sites and tent campsites. We were in one of the tent areas, the one directly in front of the swimming pool. It included 4...More

There has been several things that makes me give 2 stars. First, I have spotted at least three dead mice lying around while walking around the campground with my kids. second, the management is quite poor. The people at the front desk make snarky comments...More

We always stay here when passing through every summer. Our favorite time is during the week. The weekends can be congested and noisy with families but the week days are a delight. Lots of lush green grass and shade trees. Horses adjacent to the property,...More

We have one lodging yurt, yurt 4, that is pet friendly. The cabins, small yurts and houses do not allow pets. We allow pets in the campground.
