I think it is awesome that there is open space and beaches to enjoy on such a beautiful lake. We enjoyed it!

This is the main hang! Everybody knows about independence point. It is a decent beach, plenty of parking (not free), good sand, swimming zone, board/kayak/paddleboat rentals, and treats all available here.

City Park and Independence Point are the center of action for festivals and Iron Man. The park has beautiful huuuuge trees that provide tons of shade on hot afternoons. The band shell features local artist during events on weekends and is a great place to throw out a blanket and enjoy. The playground area is what my kids always called... More

While biking the Centennial Trail, we passed by the park and remembered seeing information about a free Sunday concert which was about to begin. It was a perfect summer day and a perfect venue, with lots of local families enjoying the music. The park is very clean and located downtown right next to the lake.

We caught the Coeur d'Alene symphony at the bandshell to add to our very relaxing rest while waiting for our seaplane tour. There's a wonderful playground for the kids as well.

We were visiting Coeur d'Alene and visited several parks in the city. This is a particularly beautiful park, with excellent public access and facilities. There is plenty of parking as well. It is close to downtown and the CDA Resort, so you can walk to various food places, pick up something, and enjoy a picnic then take a dip in... More

This park front the Lake, and is full of activities the weekend we were there. It is safe to stroll and seems secure for users. Very clean and peaceful at night. Walking distance from the Resort we lived in. Coeur d'Alene is a small and beautiful place that is worth to visit next chance we have.

My wife and I really enjoyed the City Park and Independence Point. Parking was easy and close to the beach front. The park is really green and has lots of activities going on for family fun and we loved sitting and listening to the band play. Not sure who the name of the band but they really drew a crowd... the park is lovely and large with lots of green grass, play area for the kids, picnic tables and a great beach just feet away with a wonderful view of the most beautiful lake in north Idaho.
