I can start saying that I had the best time of my trip over here.
Judging by the pictures online I wasn't sure what to expect, but when they responded to my email right way to confirm my reservation I knew this was the right place.
The venue is beautiful, super artistic, the vibe is bohemian, almost hipster, one of those places you can be yourself and hangout for hours.
When I walked in the guys were incredibly welcoming and kind, they put their heart on what they do and you can tell.
I started my tastings with a surprise, a $16 bottle of white wine that will cost you 3 times more in Europe or even California.
Moving to the reds the Merlot was my favorite and also my sommelier's, she explained this wine almost on a religious way, if you hear her talking it's like she was talking about her child, how wonderful is that.
Honestly I'm not a Merlot fan but this made me second question myself.
More wine and a great conversation fallowed and soon enough I felt at home, talking to the 3 guys working there like they were my childhood friends or my favorite coworkers, all of this magic with top quality wine, what else can you ask for.
Thank you Michael, Izzy and my sommelier, that I can't remember her name, Latina girl.
Can't wait to come back, I would totally recommend it.

As I write this, it is harvest season, which means between the birds and the harvesters, we were lucky to enjoy an outing here last week where Merlot grapes were still on the vine and the tasting room manager told us to try some right off the vine! The lineup of wines here includes five varietals and/or blends and trust me, even though the staff use measured pours, the servings do seem quite generous. Every tasting room on the Sunnyslope Wine Trail seems to have one really great wine that stands out, and for me, here, its the Chicken Dinner Rosé. The tasting room staff are superb and the Winery Dogs, Hershey and Mouvey, are the sweetest! Huston Vineyards has a quaint tasting room located near the original homestead site of Huston, ID. I love that I see this label on the menu of almost every local eatery I visit lately.

Great vineyard in the Snake River Valley Wine Region. We stopped by the tasting room on a sunny Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the pretty outside sitting area. Mary was a wonderful, hospitable host and we enjoyed tasting the selection of wines. Our favorite was the Merlot but the Chicken Dinner Red and Chicken Dinner White were both excellent too. With a pretty location, wonderful sunshine, and welcoming hosts this is a perfect spot for enjoying the area.

We agree with Tiffany B, below in the "Treated Terribly" review. There were three people working the tasting room, on the day of our visit; a genial blond woman and two older girls (millennials). They were both curt, officious and indifferent to our presence, preferring to converse with each other instead. The wines were not bad but best cited as "average". Obviously this place has not found it's legs in terms of direct contact with the public. Napa wineries are sometimes known to act aloof...this place is a little premature and staff immature

Our mini college reunion group traveled to Snake River wine region recently, for an afternoon of fun. Huston offered a wide variety of "so so" wines in a beAutiful setting. The tasting room is rustic with great wine related gifts. Other bigger and better wineries offer free tastings in the area, but we found this out after as Huron Vineyards was our first stop.

During a family reunion close by, we found several family members interested in visiting the local wineries in the Treasure Valley. While not personally a wine type, I have visited some of the Sonoma and Napa wineries.

This was our first choice on our lunch time winery tour. The next time we are in the area, we are going to make this an all-day affair to visit more wineries in the area. This area of the Treasure Valley, actually the Snake River Valley, is gorgeous. Even though I've visited the area for years and family has lived in the Valley for longer, I did not know it existed. The views across the valley and the river, with the farms and the vineyards is beautiful and very picturesque.

The Huston wine tasting facilities were everything I expected of the area. Inside of an old rustic barn. Great ambiance. The wines were excellent and presented in a clear, unsnobbish manner as well (unlike some of the Sonoma and Napa wineries). We really enjoyed the experience.

it was $5 per person for wine tasting, credited to any 6+ wine bottle purchase. We absolutely had to purchase the Chicken Dinner white. Who could resist!

The only reason this one scores a 4 instead of a 5 is in comparison to Koenig's, which will we visit next on the agenda.

But still highly recommended as part of your wine tasting tours in this valley.

Winner, winner - Chicken Dinner!!!

We did a wine tasting and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Both owners were on sight and provided information about the history of their vineyard and we were treated top-notch. Their wines were delicious and the tasting room was small but also included gift area.

Huston Winery is a small family operated winery on the Sunnyside Slope by the Snake River in Idaho. Mary and Gregg, the owners and winemakers are fabulous to chat with. They are extremely knowledgable about their craft and happy to share all of this knowledge with people visiting their winery. They have picnic tables on the property and a nice, clean restroom.

Gregg and Mary are truly gracious hosts. They love what they do and it shows. I'm no wine expert but I absolutely loved their "Chicken Dinner" red. I happened to be traveling across the U.S. and stopped in to get a flavor of the local wineries in the Snake River Valley area and Huston Vineyand was my first stop. They made me feel at home and I spent a relaxing afternoon enjoying their hospitality. I highly recommend stopping in for a visit with the Gregg and Mary and for some fine wine tasting.

We stopped by Friday August 22nd to taste the wines here. We had a wonderful time talking with other guests and with Mary. Hearing about how they started and the different wines was great, she is very knowledgable and appears to enjoy what she does. Her joy helps make the guests experience great. Stop by here if in the area.
