One of the places I like to take visitors. The rock itself is quite the natural wonder and the trip there really tells the story of the Magic Valley. Perhaps the biggest surprise, though, is the beautiful little creek side park. This would be a wonderful day trip from Buhl or Twin Falls. Pack a lunch and enjoy the solitude... More

This was an interesting drive and experience. The surrounding land is fairly flat and farmed and then suddenly you are in a canyon with totally different topography. The Balanced Rock Park is a beautiful green oasis with rock walls that seem to go straight up. Balanced Rock itself is a little ways up the road. A side trip to Buhl,... More

This was a little tricky to get to but once you are there you can't help but be impressed with the natural rock formation and wonder how it was formed. It's worth the drive over if you like natural wonders.

I go pretty much everyday. The kids love to hike the trail. You can even take your animals. There is a little camp ground park just down the road with more trails and a little creek!!

Balanced Rock and the state park area are a great visit if you want to see some natural formations and hike. It's located off the beaten path and close to the town of Buhl and Twin Falls.

Been here a few times showing it to different people. So far everyone has loved it. The hike itself isn't really too strenuous if you are in halfway decent shape which I'm not so I huffed and puffed, but its short. Kids can easily make it up to the top. Fun photo op!

The drive to the Balanced Rock is quite long. The area gives the impression of the "middle of nowhere". There is a small picknick area next to the road. It is not possible to view the Balanced Rock other than from the road itself. There is a steep path leading to the rock which I do not recommend. Some people... More

Cool area but don't use your map apps to find the place......they all try to take you on dirt/gravel roads thru farmland. All the map programs have Balanced Rock in the wrong place. The good news is, it is really quite simple to find. From Twin Falls, go on 93 South then east on E3700N and you will eventually run... More

Balanced Rock is about a fifty minute drive from Twin Falls, Idaho. Once you get to Bulh, there are signs along the road to show you the way. Our gps tried to wind us around on country roads. The signs lead you a more direct way. There is good parking and a picnic table at the foot of the rock... More

This park has been around a while. There are major pot holes that should be addressed. The facility could overall use a pick me up.
