I had never experienced bourbon, whiskey or moonshine so this was an amazing experience. We got a tour of the facility and learned how everything was made. Then we got to sample their entire line of beverages. So awesome. A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Is this small, local distillery. Got a very informative tour which emphasized the local sourcing they use from the grains to the distilling equipment. The 5 partners are clearly serious about their product. My favorite of the tastings was the vanilla bourbon.

We love to tour and taste local distilleries when we travel. We found this place on google which comically advertised that this place was open 24 hrs on Saturdays.
We THANKFULLY arrived 4:45 and noted the hours on the door said closed at 5pm.
We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Larry, who was happy to give us a tour and tasting. He was incredibly friendly and turned out we had a lot in common, including loving Chicago and the Cubs!
He had 4 spirits to taste. Moonshine, whiskey, bourbon and a vanilla whiskey.
We ended up buying 3 of the 4. He has many cocktail ideas for each, in addition to the fact that a couple are great on their own. He runs a great operation dedicated to using local ingredients and giving back locally as well. 8 Feathers is a solid distillery that is on their up! Thanks for the great experience, Larry!
