If you can't find something at your local library, you can get online to see if it's at any of the other locations. Then request it and they'll let you know when it's on the hold shelf at your... A nice large, quiet, architectural building. With lots of books. Close to the University and food and shopping.

Want to buy a book or magazine, too? Check and check! Need a cup of joe to tie you over? Check. What are you... More

The downtown branch of the Treasure Valley's library system, 3 story building which houses a treasure trove of books, music, movies, and information. One of my favorite libraries, includes an information desk, where someone will assist you with answers to questions and help you find what you are looking for. The staff here are treasurers, especially those in the music... More

The public library system in the Boise area is better than any I have ever been to. Staff is available and incredibly helpful! If you need some cheap entertainment for the kiddos, this is your place. Great section for the kiddos and the online reservations let you breeze in and pick up your selections on the "hold" shelf. Can't say... More

I enjoy spending 2-3 hours here on weekends. There is a good selection of books as well as audio visual material, including DVD and blue ray movies. Parking can be challenging during the weekends at certain times

The Boise public library has several locations throughout the valley. All of those locations are easy to access, though the downtown location doesn't have a lot of parking. The staff is always friendly. You can request books online and when they are available, you will be notified when you need to pick them up.

Nice CD and DVD collection!! Then again a library should be a good resource center. Good hours and open on Staurdays!

Boise Library is one of the best patronized libraries I've ever used. Many events are held at or through the library on a regular basis, love seeing the comi-con costumes. Great, great circulation, book, e-books and video.

We will soon be living in Boise and I am so excited this library is within walking distance to our home! We spent a lot of time here when visiting. Great book selection, awesome DVD selection and easy to use online reservation/hold system.
