This library reminds me of my old hometown library in Dayton, Ohio: Spacious, wide open, 60's architecture style. Everything is clearly marked inside as far where to find what. The emphasis is still on the books, not the technology. (Which I like.) Down near the...More

As a writer/published author I tend to gravitate towards a local library in every town I visit. The Boise library is in the heart of a vibrant downtown that is very walkable and eclectic. Nice library with a large collection of books. Very welcoming staff...More

I could live in a library, because I love books. This is more than just a building with books. The programs they offer for children is absolutely amazing. I started taking a baby every week for the 0- 2 year old class, then moved up...More

A place full of resources, books, videos and more. While in Boise, I usually spend my free time at the library. Conveniently located in the downtown Boise, there are enough parking slots but fill up very fast on weekends.

I'm not able to do much consistent volunteering given all the travels I do. But the one thing I try to make sure I do each Spring & Fall is to volunteer at the Friends of the Public Library book sales! The deals are amazing...More

I was just at the Boise Public Library today for INDIE AUTHOR DAY. It was extremely interesting to listen to the panel discussions, author readings, and talking with many local authors at their tables.
