We went to Bogus the first week of January 2017. The snow was good and the runs were well maintained. The lifts were functional and comfortable. We went up on a weekday so there were no real lines and had a great time.

Bogus is Boise's local ski resort. A 45 min beautiful drive up the mountain. This resort has ski runs on all sides of the mountain. Seldom lines though the week. Affordable year pass. The lodges food and beverages are reasonably priced. If you live near Boise don't miss out!

Our first time skiing at Bogus and it is a gem. It is much larger and has more varied terrain than we expected. Resort venue and facilities are excellent. The Bogus burgers and chili fries and selection of brews hit the spot after a day on the slopes. We can't wait to go back!

Decisive for which activity to chose, there is a lot here than I thought. Really enjoyed Skiing, sky's the limit. If you don't have any of the needed gears they have some rentals and retail store, snacks, refreshments and hot drinks are available. Also figured it out that for tubing it's limited so you need a reservation, book in advance. Cool... More

After a long winding drive with beautiful views, you'll arrive at this quaint resort. What a great local getaway! Even with all 4 parking lots full on Dec 26, the resort somehow still was not at all packed out on the slopes, and the lift lines were running well. The rental shop was highly efficient and organized as well, which... More

I love Bogus Basin ski area. Of course there are better "resorts" and "destination" ski areas, but you can't beat Bogus for good local family skiing at less than $250 for a season. The terrain is varied, staff is good, ski instructors are good, food is decent, and ski shop is good. Drive is only about a 1/2 hour from... More

This is a little bit of a local secret, but if you are looking for skiing in the west at an affordable cost, great terrain for everyone and still be home for dinner, this is the place for you. We like going in the mornings, sometime still a bit crunchy and then leave when the crowds hit in the afternoon.... More

My family and I took ski/Snow board lessons at Bogus. It was a great experience! I enjoy the drive up and back. Night Skiing is a must, the lights below from the city are awesome to look at while skiing. The lodge is warm, the food is good. There is a snow tube run which is fun to go on!... More

We went to some of the summer concerrt series here. It was a great location for a laid back afternoon of music. I've visited before, both for skiing in the winter, and hiking in the summer, and I've always marvelled at the quality of the experience so close to town. At the summer concert, we watched a number of mountain... More
