Bogus has made some huge improvements over the years and it is a very good ski resort that is super convenient to Boise. Excellent rentals available and decent food. Once in a while the lines are long, but not often. All in all a great place to ski that is super convenient.

Located a little over one hour from downtown Boise Bogus Basin is a great place to cross country ski, down hill ski and tube. There was plenty of parking when I went on a Saturday in January. I really liked the shuttle bus that can take you from one venue to another. The bus has a front mounted ski holder.... More

We visited this place during the Martin Luther king Weekend. We choose the day where we had a very good Snow fall as well. Reaching there was easy as there was a Bus leaving from Boise - Apple Street in Timberline School. It starts at 8:00 am in the Morning. This is a School bus. We reached there in 1.5... More

Very quick trip from Boise to resort. Odd layout of a complex Alpine trail system with lots of long cat tracks. Grooming is fair. Views excellent from the top. Relatively short runs, but still lots of fun. Lodge can get crowded. Simple food, fairly expensive. Lots of locals.

We've visited this Resort last December with dear friends to join the Bogus Creek Outfitters tour. The Resort is clean, well organized and staff is very nice. Although, we did have issues with the tour. The sleighs arrived covered in snow - they are not covered. One of the sleighs had only 2 horses, and there were too many people... More

We had 1 days doing in bogus basin & thought it was a much better ski area than it appeared on the internet. There were plenty of easy & difficult runs with some lovely long easy cruising runs. People were friendly, lift pass wasn't ridiculously expensive & the food wasn't expensive but was freshly prepared& tasty. Well worth a visit.

My husband, son, and I did the 1/2 day cross country skiing at Bogus Basin. They have nordic ski rental and snowshoes. Groomed trail, great views. Rental package included skis, boots, poles for $10.00

Ok so this isn't the Colorado or Utah Rockies, and Bogus Basin doesn't get 300 inches of snow a year...but for my visit they had base and 6 inches of fresh powder so the conditions were good for snow sports. It's a beautiful winter drive regardless of what you're looking to do, lots of sleds and tubes on the mountain... More
