Beautiful Capitol! The landscape and grounds are gorgeous, we were able to enter through the disability access doors on the ground floor. My 86 year old dad is a history buff, especially during the Lewis and Clark Expedition with the Discovery Corps. (He has written an historical fiction novel circa L&C and fur trade.) We were self-guided and read the... More

This is a fun place to take the kids as they really get to see first-hand the building where our state government meets and works without feeling like they are entering a highly secure "other" world. Having free access to see all the legislature chambers and meetings rooms gives the kids a chance to experience our government.

I have lived in Idaho for 30+ years and had never toured the Capitol building. Much to my surprise it was pretty fascinating. They offer a self guided tour booklet to help you find all the hidden gems and share cool facts. If you go don't miss the state seal in the basement and the Lincoln busts that paint a... More

One of the best I've seen. I grew up here and spent a lot of time when I was growing up doe to my Dad's job. I've seen a great renovation occur. Open to public.. Only issue at this time is making a few more accessibility modifications.

The Capitol building in Boise Idaho is beautiful inside. The marble throughout the interior is spectacular. Looking up from the bottom floor to the dome is stunning. Go on the weekend early or sunset and see magical dome colors from sky

What a beautiful building! We climbed all the stairs and had access to all levels and senate and representatives rooms. Super cool!

The building itself is beautifully displayed at the end of the street with no other buildings behind it, just blue sky. We really enjoyed touring the stunning interior of the building and we loved the architectural style of the building as well as all of the historical information both displayed and available.

I was pleasantly surprised by the ornate Capitol Building in Boise. There was a bride having some of her wedding pictures in the rotunda of the Capitol beautiful setting. Very informative displays highlight Idaho's early pioneer history. A wonderful diversion from the lively downtown scene.

It was a very interesting to be able to walk around and talk to staff. There were quite a few other tourists visiting at the same time as us. The building was amazing..
