Took a walk to and around the capital while my family was napping. What a beautiful building with pretty grounds. I'm glad I spent some time to do that on my trip to Boise.

A great place to visit to learn about Idaho and its government. You can walk through the building, which has four floors and the legislative galleries. There are photos of all of Idaho's governors and legislature members. There is also a gift shop on the ground level.

The Idaho capitol is a beautiful, accessible public building. The basement and hallways are covered with historical photos that tell Idaho's story. I highly recommend visitors to Boise take the time to tour it. Also you can get a great workout by walking the marble steps.

Boise is the capital of the State of Idaho. The Idaho State Capitol, completed in 1920, houses the state government. The building, located in Downtown Boise, is one of many State Capitols in the United States that feature a dome. If you have some time to spend in Boise, check out the State Capitol, especially as you are in a... More

Well maintained landscaping and interior. The landscaping leading up to the capital is always well kept and presents a nice area for a walk. The center of the capital building is always worth seeing if you have never been, very unique and reminds me of US buildings you see back in DC, albeit a much smaller scale.

This building is a must to visit when in Boise! It was renovated several years ago and brought back to it's original beauty. The rotunda is awesome to look up or down from and the wood work and marble throughout this historical landmark is grand. I've lived here in Boise now for 30 yrs. and this is still the place... Filled with radical right-wing Republicans that care more about themselves and their fortunes than about bringing justice and sound government to Idaho.

Its beautiful inside inside. Pay to park (metered)outside. Several floors so if you go plan time to walk the levels and take it all in. If they are not in session you can go in and see the Senate chambers. You can go in the governor office (sit in his chair if he is out) see all the different meeting... More
