Our son gave us a tour of the Capitol building while we were visiting him in Boise as his job requires that he work there for several weeks a year. It's a gorgeous old building that has been wonderfully restored. The galleries are open to...More

Even though they weren’t offering organized tours we made the best of it. They had a scavenger trip/quiz we were able to work on and use as a great way to keep the kids involved and learning at the same time

I was able to stroll through the state capital on a Sunday and explore the whole building. The building is beautiful inside. I walked up and down the stairs and sat in the galleries of each house. I had a great time exploring.

If you are spending a weekday in Boise, this should be something you should visit. There is even a pleasant Idaho themed shop in the ground level.

The Idaho State Capitol is a beautiful building filled with rich white and grey marbling, towering staircases and interesting art. At Christmas time it's decorated with deep reds, evergreens and golds. Local chiors often preform free concerts filing the high ceilings and long hallways with...More

So worth the visit to the State Capitol Building in Idaho, the architecture is as impressive as any of the old buildings in Europe. My husband was not interested in going at all, once we started walking up the steps to enter his tune quickly...More

This is a nice place to stop for a few minutes. We saw everything we were interested in in half and hour. There is metered parking on the street in front of the capitol. There is a lot of different colored granite inside and it's...More
