If you want to see the "heart" of Boise this is the area that one should take time to enjoy. All cites have their heritage, defining architectural and the North End is in many ways "Boise's"

The North End is a cultural mecca in Boise. It's eclectic, to say the least. It's really the only genuine neighborhood in Boise, and it's worth walking on any street because the past comes alive. This is Boise as it existed in 1890 to 1920...More

Beautiful old buildings and homes. We parked along the street and just walked for awhile admiring the buildings. There was also a park in the area, but can't remember the name. We felt safe walking the area.

This is a must for me when I visit Boise. Used to be Camelback Park and Goody's Ice Cream Parlor when children were small now it's Hyde and Seek, Several restaurants, Antique Shops and pubs.

Driving through the North End of Boise makes you think you are in a different part of the country. The tree-lined streets are so calming and the set-back homes exhibit such beauty and grandeur. It's easy to see why people want to live there.

What a great place to walk and get a flavor of old Boise. You will find 100 year old bungalows, beautiful historic small mansions and a few newer homes. A great place to see Boise as it was 50 - 100 years ago. If the...More
