I've traveled & seen many zoos... The Boise zoo was very good for a day trip with my 7yo son. There was a wide range of animals to see. The size of the zoo was perfect for a day trip, because it was not too large to spend the day walking without stopping for a meal/break.

Zoo Boise has lions, tigers & bears oh my ! Its a fun place to go. The monkies, wallaby walk about (yes you go in this exhibit), snow leopards , giraffe, etc.. They have a variety. One of my favorites is the butterflies in the summer. If you wear white they will usually land on you. Bring quarters to feed... More

The Zoo is few mins away from the Boise State University in the Julia Davis Park . you can simply walk to the Zoo from the town center. The place is small but it has its uniqueness. The Zoo was the first thing I visited after I came to Boise. Its a great place to relax and enjoy the evening.... More

Kids loved it. Shade throughout the zoo. Prices are reasonable. Really good variety of animals in unique habitats.

The Boise Zoo has been steadily been making improvements but it's limited in size due to it's location. It's pretty small and more than a few of the cages need to be improved for the animals happiness. It is a good place to bring your young kids or grand-kids and you won't be worn out by walking the grounds since... More

This is a great two hours stroll small but fun. The animals seem to be happy and well cared for. The grounds are taken care of as well and really beautiful settings for the carousel by the water and the bridge.

The habitats are really small and old but this was my first visit to a zoo in the states so I don't know if that is standard. Don't expect a huge zoo. It's ok if you wanna entertain the kids for 1-2 hours. You can feed the giraffes at certain times.

We stopped at the zoo when you going to bicycle touring. Road for miles along the river crossing bridges. One of the safest places of Everseen for bicycling. We stopped in the zoo for about two hours had lunch so all the animals. Staff was very friendly and prices were very reasonable

Came here during our trip to Boise for BSU orientation. Not a large zoo, but quite a few interesting animals. Spent a couple hours walking around. Decent value.

We didn't plan to visit the zoo, but we were staying right down the street at the Marriot Towne Place Suites and had nothing to do one day. It was hot (90 degrees) but the animals were all pretty active. The animals you would expect to be sleeping were and some weren't. Kids could feed the giraffe for three bucks... More
