A college bar. Expensive food that’s marginal. Might be fun with a crowd. Just a little sad now during COVID.

Jumpin' Janet's is a hidden gem on Vista! Tucked away in a non-descript strip mall you have to kinda look for it but, it's definitely worth it. Inside it has a cozy feel with a fireplace and walls that are filled with nostalgic events and pop culture from years gone by. The food is always on point and Janet has crafted the menu from her own kitchen. Nearly everything is made from scratch and is super tasty and BIG! There are plenty of bar games such as touch tabs, darts, Golden Tee, and pool tables. The drinks are affordable and you can tell the service is something they take pride in!

Food at this bar/restaurant is delicious. All of the servers make my wife and I feel most welcome. And Janet herself was present sitting down with us and welcoming us to her restaurant and to Boise itself, our first visit to this city. We felt 'part of the family.' Can't say enough good about what looks like a hole in the wall at a strip mall. Janet was also offering a free drink to each of us, a passion fruit lime-tasting alcoholic drink on tap. An experience I will not forget!

Great beer and drink specials. The food is excellent. I am not a fan of potato salad with my burgers, so I was a bit disappointed. Keep in mind the drinks are strong and the server will keep the full. Really nice pool tables are a big bonus.

Stopped in for dinner. We were immediately struck by the diversity of ages of the patrons, and the friendliness of the staff. It was trivia night, so it was a bit loud, but people were enthusiastic and we thought that was a good sign. We ordered off the sandwich menu, and we both chose the same - sort of a Philly with peppers, onions and mushrooms. It was amazing. They brought beef broth to dip it in, but it didn't need it. There was enough there to take home for lunch the next day. I asked what kind of beer they had, and the list went on an on, so I simply told the server to surprise me. All on all we were there about 90 minutes or more and had a great meal, a great time, and were even greeted on the way out by other diners. Friendly place.
