When we arrived it was packed. We wandered thru and picked up some fresh produce, coffee from Cascade it's my spouse favorite.
And some balloon animals for the grandkids.
I don't understand why people think they need to bring there dogs here. There are to many people for this, and safety for others , and there are food vendors every where.

What a great activity on Saturday mornings in Boise.......loved the food vendors, coffee stops and nice variety of arts and crafts that await your visit......people all so nice and friendly. If in Boise on a Saturday, don't miss this fun outdoor venue. Be sure to try the Czech pastry cart; they make a delicious cinnamon roll that will melt in your mouth!

While looking for the weekly Farmers Market at 10th and Grove Street, we happened upon the Weekly Public Market on 8th street. They are both held in the downtown area on Saturday mornings and it is easy to visit both. You can easily shop you entire Saturday morning away between the two markets. Great local fruit and produce as well as local hand-made foods and gifts.

Really enjoyed a walk through the Boise Public Market on a Saturday morning (about the length of 3 city blocks). I was confused that the Farmers Market and the Public Market were 2 separate events - - I would think it would be more friendly to both locals and visitors to combine the two. We street parked a few blocks away and walked to avoid parking fees, but was able to hit both the Farmers Market and Public Market since they were in close proximity and easy to walk between. The market runs 9:30-1:30pm. The Basque Center is also within walking distance of the public market and would be worth checking out if you are already in the area. Most free street parking is limited to 2 hours, so keep that in mind if you do visit the market.

A popular Saturday morning activity, apparently. We enjoyed our first visit quite a bit. Good artsy things to explore. Delicious food options. Worth checking out.

We visited the market while visiting with Family that relocated to the Boise area. It was so much fun. The variety of food, art, handmade clothes and gift items was terrific. The vendors have samples of their goodies, the people are all upbeat and willing to answer any and all questions. People attending have children, dogs and everyone is so polite, unlike this type of environment on the Metro East Coast. Boise is a wonderful example of old buildings and new structures complimenting each other, no sign of liter or dirt anywhere. Very refreshing to have a wonderful day in a fantastic City.

The Capital City Public Market takes up several blocks along Eighth Street, heading south from the Idaho Statehouse.

There are a wide variety of vendors, from flower merchants to produce sellers to food vendors and craftspeople.

It's a great atmosphere on Saturdays from early spring through summer.

Boise has a small downtown yet offers much. This place only takes a short time to visit but is neat so many other places to shop, dine and tour.

Just a few steps from the State Capital on 9th street is a great market on Saturdays!

The market has a little of everything: produce, home made baked goods, jams, craft items, knife sharpening, etc. There is something for everyone at the market.

It is a great place to walk around and enjoy Boise
