The Greenbelt is a very special aspect of what makes Boise a wonderful place to visit and live. There's much more to it that just the walks or bike rides along the river from Lucky Peak Dam to nearly Eagle. There are the fun features to include many parks, the MK Nature Center, Ann Frank Memorial, Discovery Center, the Zoo,... More

Love the Boise river green belt. it affords a lot of recreational opportunities. You can run, bike, skate board on it. there are parks along the way. You can get on and off it so easily with lots of places to park. Its the bounty of nature right in the middle of the city. You can swim the ponds, float... More

I ran on it (my nephew couldn't come), no extra leaves, which was nice. It is cold there. Wouldn't recommend if you are sensitive to cold.

My wife and I enjoy our romantic walks on or around the greenbelt whenever we visit Boise! It really helps you appreciate Idaho's natural beauty.

Paved path goes for miles and miles along the Boise River. Always clean, always beautiful. Very diverse groups of people and pets can be seen on any given day. Loads of wildlife to be seen.

I love riding the Boise Greenbelt. It has some amazing views and is so nice to be away from the traffic. Some of the areas have been updated with wide concrete sections and are fabulous. Other sections definitely need work. The numerous tree roots almost make it a requirement to use a mountain bike. Definitely go during the week to... More

We live about a block from the Greenbelt and walk it often throughout the year. It is a nice and scenic place to walk and bike, with people also hanging out and fishing in the Boise river. I have seen fox, great blue herons, bald eagles, deer, squirrels, and even a kingfisher by the river. No smoking or drinking is... More

Boise's River Greenbelt runs over 25 miles along the Boise River and covers the entire length of the city. The Greenbelt contains a tree-lined pathway that follows the river through the middle of the city and provides scenic views, wildlife habitat and pedestrian access to many of the city's riverside parks. The Greenbelt also serves as an alternative transportation route... More

This can literally take you from one end of Boise to the other and beyond. Yes it is just a walking path, and at times it is very crowded...but it's just a great way to escape to a thin slice of nature. People are almost always courteous. Of course there are stinkers on foot or bikes from time to time...just... More
