I hike in this park often. It is very clean and beautiful with good trails for biking or hiking. There is a beautiful beach and great camping whether in a tent, a camper or a yurk!

Stayed at one of the Yurts at Ft. Yargo. Got there Friday afternoon and put our stuff in Yurt. The over head fan was hardly moving so called office to have someone come down to put on faster mode. The guy tried but finally said...More

Beautiful visitas. Great walking trails. One of America's best camping area. Fishing, boating, picnicking, family reunion, geocache.

There is a lovely 7 mile walk around the lake and after your walk it's a short distance to the restaurants

The park is pretty and quiet. However, this is NOT a fishing lake. You can fish but you won't catch anything. It needs to be stocked. We have been here for a week and not even a nibble! There will be no more fishing for...More

We tent/suv camp, and have been camping here two times so far (campground 1), and both experiences were great. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and the check-in is quick. The sites are very well maintained and clean, and the bathhouses are neat and...More

We walked the lake. That took most of the day. We drove around the park a little. Its a nice stroll but too close to Winder for you to feel like you are camping or glamping.
